I heard the toilet paper at WDW is awful. Is the tp on the ships the same as WDW? Does anyone bring their own? I just want to know if I need to pack any. It will be easier to not have to pack it. TIA.
It's the same thin stuff you'd get anywhere else. There's a little Mickey head on it, but it's otherwise just generic toilet paper. I don't remember if it's exactly the same as what they use at WDW, but it might as well be.
I agree with you @TestingH2O I won't be bringing any with me. I'm glad I don't have to pack it. I'm trying to pack as little as I can. Thanks for answering so quickly @Kwami@HiStitch626 and TestingH2O.
There are different types. At least there were. Most of the time the stuff in the rooms is remarkably thin and rough to the point that I told my girlfriend that we have to bring our own in the future (I’ve never actually made good on that threat, also because I was afraid they specifically chose it to be easier on the plumbing). But then I noticed that in the bathrooms next to Palo on the Wonder it was actually some good stuff. I commented to my girlfriend about it and then joked to her that Disney was listening in through the Navigator app because the next day we had the good stuff in our cabin. But just that once. Although I’ve seen the “good stuff” in various spots around the ships from time to time it has always been the thin stuff in our cabins since. You can tell just by looking at the pattern imprinted on it which version it is. I’ve always assumed that the good stuff is meant for Palo/Remy and Concierge and that it just sometimes finds its way to random odd locations when it gets mixed in with the sandpaper by accident.
Also, I have spent way too much time pondering the intricacies of TP and DCL.
I don't think I've ever noticed the TP as good or bad or different kinds. I'm going to have to be more aware next time. I'm usually too busy getting annoyed by the metal thing that hangs over the roll.
I feel like I am pretty picky about TP. I have packed my own for long hotel stays as I have sensitive skin. DCL's, while thinner, is not as tissue thin as some public restrooms in the US and better quality than some major hotel brands if that makes you feel any better.
