Honey I shrunk the kids movie set - Is this appropriate for toddlers, or is it geared for older kids?
There is one small slide, as you come into the play area turn right. There is also a water sprinkler right near there.
It gets very hot in there, and doesn't seem very well vented. Might be best to avoid during the hottest hours of the day.
Disney Junior live on stage - Anyone know how long this is?
I haven't seen the new one yet.
Muppet vision 3-D (13 minute show)
It doesn't seem like 13 minutes. My son loves this!!
These are maybes for us:
Toy Story Mania
Voyage of the little mermaid (15 minute show)
Beaty and the Beast (25 minute show)
Pixas Pals Parade
I'm concerned that it's alot of shows and time spent watching something. If you've taken your toddler to DHS - what did they like? Did they have the patience to watch so many shows?
My 6 year old doesn't have the patience to sit through show after show. We rarely do a full day at the studios.
TSM is fun!! You can't hold your child on your lap, but their lap bar goes all the way back to them. The turns can whip you around a little bit, so you would want to make sure your child can support themselves in their seat. When TSM first opened, my son who has health issues wasn't strong enough to support himself fully in the seat during those turns. I had to support him with my arm. Now he is stronger and just loves the ride!!
Many children are scared during Voyage of the little mermaid. It is usually cold in there, and there is some misting of water in there, that some children mind, and Ursula is big which can frighten some children.
The Pixar Pals Parade is cute and short! I'm sure the kids will love it!
Am I missing any must-haves?
Is there any way to get the entertainment times/schedule before you're in the park? Is that posted online anywhere? We're planning to be there at rope-drop and than stay until we're ready for afternoon naps. Given that, I'm not sure how many shows we'll even have time for!
If the toddlers love characters you might want to go visit the characters in the animation building. It is air conditioned and makes a great break! There are also games in there. They might like the paint game!
