HI! :wave2:

DD princess: will be 14mo when we're at WDW in September. We're going to need her basic 'supplies' such as a pack of diapers, swim diapers, wipes, juice boxes, (disposable) sippy cups, milk, and other assorted snackies.

I figure my options are either use Garden Grocer and pay their high prices and delivery fee (and not use my coupons! :scared1: ) and not worry about anything, *or* buy these things at home with my coupons, and ship them via UPS or USPS to the resort.

On one hand, if I use garden grocer, I don't have to worry; but if I do it myself, it's a little more labor intensive, but I get *exactly* what I want.

What have you done, what are you planning to do, and what should I do?

Thanks a bunch in advance!:flower3:

I am doing garden grocer....that way I can buy perishable stuff like Milk, yogurt, cheese and squishy stuff like bread and heavy stuff like juice boxes and water. Consider the delivery fee comparable (or less!) to what you would pay for shipping....and you don't have to worry about your package getting lost at the resort. I have had excellent service w/them. I believe you can use coupons w/ wegoshop.com, but their delivery fee may be higher.

How about www.wegoshop.com ??

She'll buy exactly what's on your list. You'll get the name brands you want, without the hassle of transporting it all. And I believe she'll let you use coupons.

We had great luck with garden grocer with our trip last year. We ordered fresh fruit, diapers, baby food, juice boxes, yogurt, etc. The prices are a bit higher than I pay at home, but the delivery is only $12.00 for orders under $100.00. It would save the hassle of shopping and shipping.

I think wegoshop is the way to go for us. It even said on there that they'll match the competitors delivery price, so I'm going to give it a shot.

It's so not worth it to take a taxi... that's like $40+ round trip! Yikes!

And shipping... I'm just not that confident in it!

Thanks a bunch!!:flower3:

We are going to WDW next month and I'm shipping a package via UPS to the resort. I'd rather pack everything I need myself so I know exactly what I'm getting. I'll pay a few extra bucks to ship the package UPS so I can track the package and confirm it gets there before we do. Fellow DIS'ers say they have shipped many packages to the Disney resorts and not had any problems. I'm going to give it a try.

I shipped, and it was so easy. I shipped dry snacks (goldfish, raisins, pretzels, cereal), baby items (disposable sippy cups, diapers, bibs, swim diapers), and some disposable bowls/lids (hand for transporting snacks without getting crushed).

Use UPS Ground, not USPS. My understanding is that USPS goes to a central place and is then distributed, so it takes longer. I check most of the delivery methods, and UPS Ground was the least expensive.

UPS Ground was the least expensive and you can track exactly when it will be delivered. If you have the weight of the box, you can get the exact cost and arrival day estimate from home. And you can figure out exactly when to ship. Keep in mind that they only ship in business days, so if you are arrving on Sat. or Sun., have it deliverd the Friday before. I had a good sized box packed full, and it was less than $8.

I would use the grocery delivery only for perishables, like milk and fruit. Check wegoshop.com.

We shipped a 50+ lb box via UPS (at Staples) last May when we took DS 2 (at the time). It was great not to have to lug that weight into the airport while keeping track of DS and we only had the bare minimum in liquids on us. I shipped the box about a week before our arrival and checked it's progress online every day until it arrived. Once UPS said it was signed for, I called the front desk at OKW and confirmed it's arrival. I planned it to arrive at least 3 days prior to leaving home so that I could replace any items and pack them in our luggage should the box have been lost.

We shipped diapers, swim diapers, wipes, antibacterial wipes, small plastic bottles of juice, snacks, regular size bottles of shampoo/conditioner/suntan lotion/aloe, room decorations, plastic silverware/bowls/plates, disposable sippy cups, small new toys to keep DS occupied on line, laundry detergent, etc.

Going home, we repacked the box with souvies, laundry, and any liquids over 3 oz/heavy items and shipped it back home from the front desk at OKW.

We just bought milk/cheese/yogurt at Good's (OKW's mini market).

I think with the cost of taking more than a carryon nowadays, we might pack a box with clothing/toiletries/snacks for our next trip.
