Does anyone know where I can get a toddler size rain poncho? My DD is 16 months and 24lbs. :cutie: She is walking, so she will NOT be sitting in her stroller all day. We are leaving for Disney next week  and the forecast looks like rain everyday! Thanks for any tips you might have.

How about a nice rain jacket? I bought DS a Land's End 2T rain jacket at Sears. They had little girl ones with cute flowers.

If you want a Micky poncho they do have child sizes in the parks. On our last trip we bought DS the smallest size they had. It was still a little long but we helped show him how to hold it up when he absolutely would not sit in his stroller!

This coming trip I'm bringing his Land's End rain jacket - it fits!

the child size one in disney is huge. it was long on my then 4.5 old.

i got child sized ones at Target. look in the camping section, i got spongebob and dora i think, they are much shorter than the disney ones.

I have never tried to poncho one of my kids that small. If it was raining and we are outside, we are on the go and the toddler was in the stroller, under the stroller cover (be sure you've got one and you cover the stroller when you leave it). However, when my kids were a bit bigger, we just used the regular dollar ponchos and knotted the ends.

I had one red and one green Crayola poncho that I think I picked up at Walmart or Payless or something like that. To be honest I used them way more when we went puddle stomping in my driveway :dance3: that we did when at WDW so they were totally worth the $

I just found a little Ariel one at Walmart on the clearance rack for $3! :woohoo: I think 2T was the smallest they had, but you could probably roll up the sleves and it could be a little long in the body and not matter too much.

For my 3 year old (a few years ago) I purchased a child size one at the dollar store and trimmed the bottom. Used it once on our trip and tossed it at the end. Only a buck, can't beat that.

Gymboree has some right now on clearance for $8. I just goe one, and my DD3 loves it. It's a nice one, and it folds into it's pocket for easy travel.

They have some at Walmart, they are all colors and the child fits my 2 yo perfectly. They are with the handbags and are in a little drawstring pouch.:wizard:

I have seen the ponchos at wallmart and target but I would suggest a raincoat for a child that age instead. I know my dd's did not like a poncho at that age they were very uncomfortable.

A nice toddler size raincoat can fold up as small as a poncho and would be more comfy and cover more in case of rain. If you do go for a poncho I would also get a hat as that was another problem my dd's had with the poncho even as older kids, the hood always slipped off.

In addition I highly recommend a rain cover for the stroller. Its great when the child is riding as well as a cover for those afternoon showers that pop up when you are on an attraction and the stroller is out in the parking area.

when my kids were that small, we opted for a rain coat and stroller covers. The ponchos always seemed too big and very uncomfortable for them. I just got them all really cute ones from Lands End.

Thanks for all the great ideas! I'm definitely going to find my stroller rain cover, I didn't even think of that.
