We have reservations for both Le Cellier and CRT for dinner next week. I made reservations for 4 but now my mom will be joining us for these meals. I have been constantly trying to get reservations for 5 but haven't had luck yet. How do the restaurants feel about a toddler sharing a seat with an adult. While not ideal, my DS3 can certainly sit on my lap for a meal.

I'm assuming that they will probably only be able to accomodate chairs for the number of people specified in the original reservation so I am going to keep trying to get that illusive table for 5!

Anyone had any experience with a little one sharing a seat at one of these (or any other WDW) restaurants?

I'm almost certain you need a table for 5 due to occupancy (ie fire/safety codes)

I had this very question last week. I made all my ADRs for our Feb. trip.....all table for 8. My SIL is now bringing her 14 month old. I called Disney Dining to see if I needed to change it to 9 and the nice CM said it would not be a problem to bring a baby.....said we could even squeeze a high chair in if we didn't mind being a bit cramped. I asked about occupancy codes, etc and she said "it will not be a problem". I don't know if they would think differently about a 3yo :confused3 .

You might try calling WDW Dining and mention that there are four adults and a child in a high chair, instead of a party of five. I called Garden View Cafe at GF for a party of seven for afternoon tea, and was told they did not have tables for that many people. My mom called just a few hours later and said we had six adults and a toddler in a high chair, and somehow they were able to accomodate us. Go figure!

We did this once. We had a PS for 4, our youngest was just 1. My brother decided to join us. We just showed up and when I checked in and they said "party of 4" I said "plus a high chair" and they said "we thought it was 4 with the high chair" and I said "sorry its 4 plus a high chair." It worked, no problem.

This sorta happened to us and they were able to accomodate us. In April my BIL joined us in WDW for part of our trip (he was 16) so some of our ADRs were for 3 people (me, my husband, and our daughter who was 13 months) and the ones for his part of the stay were for 4 (obviously). Well when we got close to the trip my in-laws decided he could stay longer so we called up to change the ADRs to 4 people. I guess we forgot to change our breakfast at CP though because when we got there they had us down for 3, not 4. We explained we were indeed 4 and just had to wait another couple of minutes while they adjusted our table.
