Toddler napping in stroller or going back to hotel for nap?

My son was 25 months and did stroller naps. We were at the All Star resorts then and it would have taken far too much time to go back and forth for a nap that we weren't even sure would be successful. About 3 days in though we did go back for nap and afternoon swim which was nice. We'll probably do the same this trip with our daughter but judge it day to day. We're at BWI so much closer for going back and forth.

Both of my kids hardly napped in stroller, maybe 10 minutes, DD would force herself to stay awake(so much going on). Now DS would be a real pistol without a nap, and he would not sleep in a stroller (we brought our own), since he liked to stomach sleep. We would plan our trip around naps, He naps like clockwork so about 1pm we would head back to resort for some rest. DD even napped or one of us would take her to the pool instead. Then around 5pm head back to the parks. It was a nice break for us as well, we never seemed rushed and got to enjoy our vacation.

You know your kids so you do what's right for them. ENJOY!

Napping at the resort did not work for my niece. I tried and it was a waste of time. She would either fall asleep on the bus, not sleep in the room or would sleep on the bus on the way back to the park.

I gave up and had her sleep in the stroller worked out better for both of us.

If she wouldn't fall asleep in the park then I would take her on the monorail in the stroller and she would be out in no time.

I have two DS and did a combination of both when they were toddlers. I would rent a stroller from off-site that had a back that laid down flat (and a big basket underneath to carry all of our stuff). We'd spend two days touring/napping in the parks and one day relaxing/napping at the resort. Then repeat the pattern for the remainder of our stay. Although naps in the park were a little shorter than normal, they were enough to get through till bedtime. The off day was enough to get things back on track.

We rented a stroller from Orlando Stroller and my son napped every day in the parks without a problem. I guess it depends on how your child sleeps.

We rented a stroller for our then 2 1/2 year old son ~ it fully reclined and we purchased one of those clip-on fans (battery operated) to help keep him cool since we went in July. We were there for about a week and I only remember going back to the room twice for him to nap ~ with the fan and the shade on the stroller, he was comfortable sleeping in the stroller. I was 6 months pregnant with twins at the time so I took advantage of his naptimes and found a place to sit down for a while.

I am totally jealous of all of you whose kids will nap on the go. My kids would never do that! We're hoping a midday nap at the hotel will work nicely. :)

Neither of my kids are stroller nappers. We have a city mini and would have to walk them for 30-45 minutes to get them to fall asleep and then they would only sleep for 30 minutes. This was at 9,10,13, and 27 months between the two of them. I am so envious of people whose kids just conk out in the stroller!
