Toddler head rest

Ok..I'm beginning to feel like I've lost my marbles. A few weeks ago when we were in Toys r us I saw a Eddie Bauer Toddler head rest. It attached to a carseat or stroller and is a head rest for when the toddler is sleeping. I really really need this..but can't find it ANYWHERE now. Does anyone know what I"m talking about and where to find it or have any other really really good toddler head rest that will work. We have a jeep sport stroller that we will be bring to WDW. It doesn't recline so I'd really like to have some kind of head/neck support for my 2 year old when he takes a nap. It would also be GREAT to have in the car since he falls asleep just about every time we go for a ride.

You're not crazy! I use that Eddie Bauer car seat for my DD3, and it does come with a little pillow/head support. I bought it at Toys R Us in the spring.

It's up to you, but all this thing is is a tiny pillow with a piece of material attached that velcros it to the seat. You could easily make your own...just find a tiny pillow and some velcro strips and you're ready to go!

Have you checked ebay? I did a quick search for "travel head rest" and there were some listed. Hope that helps!

Hi all, I don't want to make anyone feel bad, but it isn't recommended you use these add-on's in your car seats (They're certainly fine for using in strollers though). This was pounded into my head from when my ds was in the NICU and had to pass a car seat test before being released from the hospital. I just thought I would pass this on:

Avoid using add-on products
Anything that did not come in the box with the seat could potentially put your child at risk. Adding strap covers could cause the chest clip to be positioned incorrectly. An added head support cushion could compress in a crash, introducing slack in the harness and allowing the child to be ejected from the seat. In general, you want nothing under baby or between baby and the straps that is any thicker than a placemat. Adding NOTHING under, behind or between baby and the straps is the best. Also, keep in mind that any product you add that is not included with the seat can release the manufacturer from being responsible for any injuries your child may suffer in their seat.

I know this isn't a car seat safety board and I certainly don't want to start another debate. My desire to be "helpful" just is getting the better of me.

Thank you! I actually found the exact head rest I was looking for today at toy's r us (never believe a man when he tells you he can't find something...ie-what my husband did ) I put it in my DS carseat just to see how it fit and how he liked it. #1 He HATED it...#2..didn't really look comfortable at all nor did it really look safe. ..add that to what you said in your post..needless to say I won't be using it in his car seat. It does fit his stroller though..so we are going to see how he does with it there. Hopefully he will like it there. It looks much better on the stroller than it did on the car seat!!!

Another suggestion is...those blow-up neck support pillows. I have an adult one I take on the plane. My neck doesn't fall over to the side if I fall asleep they are very comfortable.

I found a "Winnie the Pooh" one @ Meijers and keep it in my van. It is just like mine only smaller. My grandkids always grab it and put it around there neck when they are feeling tired.
