I am packing our dinner clothes for our Wonder cruise this weekend and I am stuck on two outfits.

For Pirate night, both boys (3 and 19 months) have a Pirate shirt to wear, would it be terrible to put them in jeans or even jean shorts with their shirts??

The night we eat at Parrot Cay, they are wearing button-up tropical Mickey Mouse Shirts, would it be OK to put them in nice khaki shorts (not cargo shorts).

Thanks,
Christy

Sounds cute to me! We'll be sailing with you! My DS3 has a pirate costume he will wear to pirate night. I also found 2 pseudo suits buried in the back of his closet. Now, I don't mean suit really. But, we got them from a friend whose son outgrew them and I forgot I had them. They are actually more like short suits. One of them has an anchor and crest like a captain outfit, so adorable. Short sleeved shirt and shorts. The other one has shorts too with a vest and shirt under it that I called his Jungle Jim outfit. Both have clip on ties, which we may or may not use. But he'll be in shorts! My DD5 has some cute summer dresses and princess outfits she plans to wear! She'll be Ariel the night we are in Tritons (we're secretly hoping that will be our Pirate Night too). And, she'll be Belle on another night.

Oooo....OOOOoooo,....I can't wait!

WE have seen many toddlers in cute shorts and yes in jeans in the dining room. I dont think there is really a dress code for toddlers. Just clean and comfortable, so they are comfortable and less fussy. Your outifts all sound really cute to me. We always get a kick out of seeing all the toddlers around the ship. they are soooooo cute no matter how they are dressed.
Dont worry about it, just have fun, nobody will care if he has shorts or jeans on.

PLEASE allow time for your kids to take pictures in their pirate shirts with the characters in their pirate outfits. There were some REALLY cute pictures with the pirate characters (mickey, minnie, goofy, chip, and dale) from different times on pirate night. They are fun pics because most Disney fans don't see the characters all dressed up for the pirate party.

My sister's gang of six kids also did a picture (under duress) in their pirate shirts in front of the white background (where you roll around on the floor) and I thought it was going to look tacky but it turned out great and became the shot she had made into her Christmas card for this coming Christmas.

I don't know about really little kids but we had gotten inflatable ($1-2 at party store) swords and parrots and they were a lot of fun (because you don't get the bandanas until dinner and we did character pics before dinner).........we ended up giving ours to our server (pics taken before dinner) and he paraded through the dining room harassing people with the sword. Prior to dinner Chip and Dale got into a sword "sword" fight--they got in trouble for running around the little area :rotfl:

Have fun on pirate night (and every night) and DON'T worry about clothing---waste of energy....you will wonder what all of the big deal is about "what to wear" once you go on the cruise and see the extremes of clothing.

ENJOY!

Thanks everyone!

Grits~The funny thing is this is our 4th Disney Cruise. I have no idea why I am so worried this time. I am terrible about scrapbooking, but I bought a whole bunch of stickers (including TONS of pirate ones) to make sure I would take pictures and make a book (since I already spent the money on it, I know I will do it).

Thanks again to everyone, I feel so much better!
