Toddler at Napa Rose?

We are hitting Disneyland in February with our 2 year old. Is Napa Rose to fancy to bring a toddler?

We go to WDW restaurants very frequently. Does this compare to Victoria and Alberts?

Not as fancy as V&A. More fancy than most WDW signatures though.

I wouldn't bring in a toddler. Ruins the atmosphere for the other adults. I have two kids and they haven't "earned" the privilege of being able to eat there yet. They are 11 and 9. DH and I eat there a couple times a year and savor the adult atmosphere. My sister brings her young son there and it bugs me to no end because I know how he behaves at nice restaurants and it's not good enough IMO.

That said, there is a lounge that serves the full menu. Kids can often be found there as it's much more relaxed than the restaurant itself. The lounge is open 5-10 PM and tables are on a first come first served basis.

We've taken our daughter there when she was two and there was quite a few other number of kids around. I'd say if you can time it for an earlier dinner or very late dinner that will be much easier to handle. The fact that they have a kid's menu clearly says it's still quite child friendly.

All that said if your toddler isn't used to seated dinners of course it could be a bit less fun for everyone around and well then you feel a little more guilty. We do a number of nice dinners out with out daughter and eat our frequently and she's fairly well behaved, though we do often end up bribing her behavior with dessert, but at least no one else suffers.

I think it depends on the toddler. There is no way I would take my 2 year old granddaughter. She would not sit still that long.....dinner does take awhile.
She would disrupt others around.

Napa Rose is our favorite Disney restaurant

I would not take a toddler to Napa Rose. Storyteller's is right there and the food is great and it's much more comfortable for a little kid.

We love Napa Rose and have been taking our kids there since they were tiny. They have a fabulous kids' menu, including the Balboa Beach Sand dessert. When our kids were little, we'd order one course and we'd put in our order immediately - we were in and out in about an hour. As they grew older (now they range in age from 8 -16) we'd stay for longer dinners and order coffee at the end.

As a previous poster mentioned, it really does depend on the kids, and I'd say it also depends on your expectations. Our kids have always identified our meals together as one of their favorite parts of Disney, so eating at signatures isn't a drag for them. Even our very energetic youngest son behaves well in restaurants, and interestingly, the nicer the restaurant the better his behavior. We time the meal for success, and we don't mind when the menu items are pricey but the dinner goes quickly. Also, one of us was always ready to take one of the kids out immediately and take a meal to go - even at the first sign of a louder-than-appropriate voice volume. We've never had to do that, but we make all reservations prepared to take action if necessary, and with sensitivity to the dining experience of fellow guests.

I was initially reluctant to take our kids to signatures based on some of the comments on these boards, but I'm glad that we did. Our kids have had such positive experiences in a welcoming environment at Disney signatures (both WDW and DL) and on DCL. The positive comments from diners around us have always helped to reinforce positive behavior, and really prepared our kids at an early age for fun and interesting dining experiences in our non-Disney travels.
