Today's the BIG Day...POP Century Opens!!

Beleive me when I tell you, no one is more excited than the Cast of Disney's Pop Century Resort. We had our Pop Rally on Friday to celebrate, and WOW, what a party!! Dancing, fireworks, and presents! It was great.

Pop Century will open its gates in less than 24 hours. WOO HOO We'll finally get something to do

We are arriving the very first day at SSR. Please fill us in on all the first day fun at POP, so we can fantasize about our upcomming stay.

I work Front Office. Front Office includes the back office, runner, Front Desk Cashier (check in), Guest Services, and Luggage Assistance.

Does this resort have a hot tub? We are going in January and I know the weather can be quite cold especially at night. If the pool temp is cold, we could at least use the hot tub.

Yeah! My sister and her family left SC early, early this morning. They're in Jacksonville now, headed for PC. I'm living vicariously through her. I think I'm almost as excited as they are. I can't wait to get the call that "we" have checked in!

Woohoo! Dear sis just called me! ( She's called twice before, but we had lousy cell connections.)
They're in the 80's building. She said it's not even 5 minutes to the main building. The pool is huge. The arcade is fantastic, and it has a Mrs. Pac Man game.
They ate at the food court, and they really enjoyed their food ( fried chicken, a steak wrap, sundaes, etc.).
She said that the playground is maybe two minutes from their building.
Overall it got a big "Neat!!", I was just glad she didn't say "Neato!"

That's all I can remember for now! They're off to DTD, as the weather seems to be clearing a bit.

Unfortunetly, there is no hot tub. However, all pools are heated to 82 degrees!

(Now if only the AIR would stay that warm!!)



Opening day was today. WOO HOO. Got to meet a whole bunch of DIS'ers. "Tyler, someone's here to see you again!!" LOL

We were fairly busy all day long. Had a few challenges, but they just gave us an opportunity to figure things out a bit more, and all worked out in the end.

Overall, I think things went well! Guest reaction was great. Everyone seemed to enjoy the resort!
