I surprised my girls with a Disney trip when I went for the marathon in January 2007. My surprise wasn't near as elaborate as yours though. I had park tickets wrapped up in boxes under the tree. The girls opened them as their last gift, saw the plastic cards and said "you got us credit cards?" They are now 10 and 7. When they figured out we were going to Disney they were bouncing off the walls. Mickey Mouse even called on Christmas day to tell them they were going. The cute thing was, DD7 (DD5 at the time), didn't realize it was a recording, and actually started talking to Mickey Mouse. She said, yeah, you know what? My Dad is going to run the marathon... It was very cute.

I have trouble even keeping even the smallest gifts a secret!

I did manage to keep it a secret that we were staying at Hotel New York in Disneyland Paris for my DW's birthday until we arrived at the resort and she tried to get off the shuttle at the hotel i'd told her we we staying in

Hi Whip,
Just thought I'd pop in and see how you were doing? My silly sister nearly spilled the beans the other night - I put a stop the that quick smart. The kids have just gone to bed, so I give myself 7 hours before they find out. I still have so much to do. But the best thing of all is they still have no clue. Can't wait to have the camera ready. Merry Christmas with lots of pixie dust.
