Today show at Disneyland

Anyone going to join Club 23???

These people are so....unbelievably.....dumb.....
The worst part being that they are called "reporters" so people will BELIEVE them...
They'll believe that Huey Dewy and Louie are Donald's sons (as reported yesterday) and that it is Club 23 (as reported today)

Wall...

bash....

head....

Oh and why would they bother with special offers for us?? We are coming this much WITHOUT them trying...why bother?

Yep:confused3. I got to work this morning and a colleague said "they were talking about Club 23 and I thought of you". I was like "you mean Club 33?" and she said she was sure they said 23. Sure enough, I just watched the tape and Jacobs says 23. More than once :confused3

We were there from 8th to 24th Dec, the difference in that first week, to the week before Christmas was incredible. The first week/week and a half we were there it was almost empty, awesome! Then all of a sudden it changed and it was

i am so, so glad to hear this. last year we were there the first weekend in nov, and got to experience the magic of halloween deccies one day & xmas deccies the next. didn't fully appreciate the magic of it all til i saw the links to the 'behind the magic' tv shows... wow. those are some magic elves.

this year we are going first week of dec & i was worried about crowd levels... we will be there for 11 days ... so hoping that the crowds don't swell too much.

o. m. g. if you're gonna report on something, do it accurately.

poor disney and those club 23'ers.

I wasn't sure if I heard it right when he said Club 23 - also the same guy had to look at his notes to see where he was when he was talking about New Orleans Square. Send one of us there and we could be consultants to make sure they have the right info!

There are less than 10 Club 33 members in Australia as it is (apparently, friend of a workmate of my Dad has membership) and considering the LONG wait list and EXPENSIVE costs (and didn't they stop accepting new members anyway?) there will be some disappointed Australian's wanting in on 'club 23' :P

Well that throws my conspiricy theory out the door :rotfl2: I couldn't book 09 online, but thinking about it, maybe I didn't try very hard as I have a US TA.

I still think there is something with the wholesalers here and hopefully that won't be forever and many Aussies (who are not up with booking direct like we dis'ers) will stop being ripped off.

I just had a friend, who contacted me on behalf of a friend of hers, asking for some DL advise. I directed her to tell her friend about DIS, but also to NOT book the DL accommodation through an Aussie TA. It was too late! They had already done it and paid in full! :headache:

You are so right about this!

Apathy reigns supreme in this country and me included ( i just renegotiated my power and gas and realised just how much i was getting ripped off ...all because i mistakenly thought i would be on the best deal as an example...cant wait for my telco, insurance quotes coming in..and dont get me started on the supermarkets ....go aldi!) and I think things like the internet break down the barriers.....how many of us think nothing of buying things from overseas from eBay or amazon or direct from retailers....? I can think of no good reason why buying a service like a us hotel, tickets etc has to be more expensive buying in Australia ....viva le revolution to those who lead the dis boards 'smart ' way and book direct and around the Aussie TA gougers!.....rant over:scared1::scared1:

That's it then.....................my secret is out. I am an exclusive member of Club 23. That's the one if you were born on the 23rd, right???!!!:lmao:

You really would think that some sort of preparation and fact checking would be done by these people! Can't wait to hear what they mess up tomorrow!!!

Watched it today...they made Screamin' seem like it was the scariest ride in the world! I don't know about you guys, but for me it definitely wasn't as bad as some of the newer rides at the Queensland theme parks!

I think Richard Wilkins really was scared, he looked petrified, I thought it was hilarious. My mother in law saw it and couldn't believe we'd been on it, and said she hoped our eldest daughter wasn't going to ride it this trip - it's the ride she's looking forward to most. But I agree, it's not that scary, just scary enough to be fun.

Mum told me she saw that on some other news program as well, isn't it funny though, they recognise us as a huge customer base, but there are never any incentives or specials to get us over there :confused3

I agree! I am always reading about the great offers available to U.K residents and think - why not us?

BTW - friends of ours in SF told us about great deals they once got from the U.S to Australia for flights - $250 (I can't remember if they said o/w or return), our last trip cost us around $7,500 for our family of 4 on Virgin
