It's 2:30 in the morning and I have to be up at 6:30 to go to work (and teach 17 kindergartners) but I am so excited and my brain is thinking of everything I need to do. We are being picked up at 4:00pm for a 6:45pm flight, and DD doesn't know a limo will be taking us to the airport :cheer2: Hopefully I have remembered to print all of our coupons and confirmations. I did receive my $30.00 coupon for Tortilla Jo's :cool1: What a great deal! Buca has a $10 off on Halloween which happens to be the day we are going! I can't wait for my Banana's Foster from RBJK on Sunday  It better be worth the $17.00!

So our final plans for food are:

Sat. Big Thunder Mtn BBQ for DD's B-day dinner

Sun. Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen

Mon. Carnation Cafe for lunch and Buca Di Beppo for dinner

Tues. Tortilla Jo's for my B-day dinner

Wed. World of Color/Ariels Grotto

Thur. Pirate Adventure dinner

I wanted to say thank you to everyone who answered my many questions and gave advice. It will help to make a very memorable and magical trip I'm sure :) I will post while I'm there, and maybe even see some fellow DIS members! We are staying at the Desert Inn & Suites for the first time, and it was the first time we ordered some groceries to be delivered. Our flight won't land at LGB until 9:30pm, so I'm guessing we will get to the hotel no later than 11:00pm. All the more reason why I need to fall asleep quickly! Thanks again everyone, and I will post soon! Safe travels to everyone else, and Marie, I will let you know our room #.

Wow. Sounds like some awesome planning! The guacamole at tortilla joes is great. Don't forget the beignet's at the Jazz Kitchen express. :)

How exciting ... you'll have a wonderful time!

What did you decide to do about your 7th day? Should our fingers still be crossed?

I hope you and your groceries made it safe and easily. Big day coming soon.

For DD :cake:

We made it :yay: And I have to say that this was the easiest, least complicated, travel day we have ever had!

The limo came right on time and got us to the airport two hours early. We checked in with Jet Blue, and I think this is when our first blessing was. The guy who checked us in was talking to a coworker about wanting some Halloween candy from the airline next to them. I happened to put some candy in our carry on, so DH handed him a box of Whoppers as we were walking away. So we go and eat, look through the shops, and then head to our gate. We get called up to the gate agent and were informed that all of our seats had been upgraded to the "More Room" section and we were now in row 3 :cool1: Now DH is 6'5, and we looked at spending the $35 per ticket each way, but felt our $210 could be better spent elsewhere. We couldn't believe it, and the only thing we can think of is that the guy who checked us in must have changed our seats.

Now as for Jet Blue, this was the best airline experience I have ever had, and it wasn't because of the extra room. The crew was friendly, we LOVED having our own t.v. screens for each of us and I got to watch game 7 of the World Series. You were given a menu of free snacks and free drinks, so you didn't have to eat peanuts or pretzels. It was so pleasant, and it actually made me relax for the first time on a flight.

We had reserved Super Shuttle to pick us up, and as we were getting our suitcases from baggage claim, they called and said that our van was there and ready. Next stop was our hotel, the Desert Inn. I am not thrilled with being in the very back of the building, but oh well. The groceries had been delivered so no worries there. There was a brief moment of panic when the man ran the credit card through and said it was declined :scared1: I told him that was impossible but, why should he believe me??? He ran it through again, and it worked without any problem. The only other minor issue was trying to find a darn cart to get our luggage and groceries to our room. It took the valet guy a good 15 min. to find us one. The parking lot was packed, and we were so thankful we didn't have to deal with that.

I am finally in bed, and ready to sleep! The alarm is set for 7:00 so we can eat and get to DTD at 9:00 to pick-up our Parkhoppers!!! I am praying that goes as smooth as today went, and that adding the 7th day is no problem. So hellotoyou, I will let you know tomorrow if we were able to do it. My fingers and toes are crossed!

Anyways, it was a great start to our week in Disneyland, and I can't really believe I'm here. It always hits me as we walk through the tunnel and enter Main St. That is a goosebump moment :rotfl:

Thanks again everyone, and I will be checking in everyday!

Can't wait to hear if you were able to extend the park hoppers for a 7th day. We are looking at doing this in December (if it is available) just to have that half of day to either start with and get a good feel for how we want to execute things on the trip or as a last day to just soak up the magic one last time before we head home. We are planning on stopping at area attractions on the way home...I want to see the Golden Gate Bridge just to say I have been there and I know my hubby wants to go to Nevada City. We will also be stopping somewhere in the mountains to let the kids play in the snow. So even though we are leaving DL on the 27 probably won't get home until the 29th or 30th. Hope you are having a blast there and can't wait to hear from you.
