I was up bright and early this morning to book dining reservations. It took about an hour with glitches and the dreaded Stitch ate this page but I was successful booking all my dining including Topolino's , Rose and Crown (will check back for fireworks pacakge), Trattoria al Forno and Beaches and Cream among others.

How about my fellow DISers? Anyone else book dining today for their upcoming trip?

I don't book until late May, but your experience gives me hope! Thinking about it gives me anxiety. DD14 wants Space 220 and DD13 wants Tusker House Breakfast. I want Artist Point. I can't wait to get it over with lol

Woke up bright and early. We got all the reservations we wanted except for BOG. Going to keep trying since that is one my daughter really wanted. We got Cali Grill (at a fireworks time), Space 220, Story Book Dining at Artist Point (did I get that right?) and several others I was concerned would be difficult to get.

What did you use? App or website?

Forgive my naivete, but all this bright and early talk: are you saying that if I'm not making reservations at 60 days the moment it's available, I've waited too long?

If you dont get the FW package, try doing a walk up early in the day (like 11 AM) to see if they have anything. They apparently do not take reservations for the tables on the covered patio until that day. That way, if there is bad weather expected, they can move those with pre-day reservations up under cover. Good luck.

We do have a reservation for dinner at 6:00 so that is my back up. Enjoying dinner - hopefully on the patio and then finding a spot to watch the fireworks after. Thanks for the suggestion!

Reservation day was yesterday, woke up bright and early at 5am and at 5:01 was able to book. Got everything I wanted but did have to take some times that were less than perfect.

What I have found is if there is something you really want then yes be on line a little before 6:00 am and if you are staying onsite go to the last day of your trip (60+10) and start booking backwards. I started from our last day in June and worked back to our first day at the end of May. The closer I got to my arrival date the more flexible I had to be. I hope this helps!

I didn't have much luck today with our reservations. Lots of glitches with my phone so I switched to my laptop and didn't get the two restaurants I wanted. I'll keep checking, but I'm going again in the fall so I'll just try again for those hard to get places like Space 220.

Yeah, I ended up not getting much of what I wanted. My biggest problem appears to be that we're there for a week (5/28-6/5), but 6/1-6/3 are tied up with the Galactic Starcruiser. While I got reservations for Saturday the 4th, nothing I wanted in the 5/29-5/31 range was available. And I mean nothing. Not even flexibility would allow me to book Ohana or Be Our Guest, to say nothing of Space 220. That really surprised me, and I've been booking these vacations for decades now. I thought I was smarter.

Depending on what you’re hoping to get, it very well could be too late and make it difficult to get later. If you’re not looking for anything specific and ok to take just whatever is available then its not as imperativ to be right away at 60 days.

I was a little worried that I would have problems, even though my trip starts May 10 and is only 6 days. I couldn't get Space 220; this is the 2nd trip that I have tried. Hopefully, third time is a charm in July. I was able to get BOG for lunch on the last day. I was also able to get Via Napoli. I got Jiko, but it's later than I want. I was having booking problems, which probably didn't help. But year, even for a time that's usually pretty dead, things were not fully available.

We going the same dates. I have an ohana on 6/2 at 8pm that I may be canceling. I booked so fast but now I am trying to sort out our plans. I can keep you posted if we drop if you want to try to pick it up.

Today was my day to book and I didn't get Sci-Fi or Teppen Edo for the whole week we are there. I am shocked, as I tried lunch and dinner times just to see if anything came up. What is that website that tracks cancellations and will send you a notice?

I appreciate the thought, but that's the day my cruise on the Halcyon arrives at Batuu. I won't be doing anything else that day. Good luck!

And another update. A ton of slots opened up in the last hour or two (maybe three). Now on the 31st, I'm doing lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern and dinner at Be Our Guest. I had multiple slots to choose from. I also added dinner on June 4th at the 50s Prime Time Cafe which was previously unavailable. Again, now I find multiple slots available. Someone populated a database with more slots.

But still no Space 220 on the 29th.
