A few years ago, DH bought me a larger diamond for our anniversary. I took my original diamond from my ring, bought two quarter carat diamond ear rings and had them mounted at "10 o'clock and 2 o'clock" so I have a Mickey Mouse diamond pendant. I love it and I always wear it. Today I got out of the shower and noticed that the chain was dangling loosely around my neck, no MICKEY!!!
My heart jumped in my throat and then I looked down and there it was, on the bath matt six inches outside of the shower. If I had lost it in the shower, it is light enough, it would have washed down the drain and through the trap! I am SO LUCKY! This is my second warning with this necklace. The clasp is fine, I just need to check it often, but I almost lost it four years ago so I need to pay attention.

Glad you didn't lose it. It sounds beautiful!

If you squint, you can see it in the picture. ;) You have to look real hard but its there.

Have you thought about having a lobster claw clasp put on it? I like this type of clasp and never have problems with my necklace's.

Is that the kind that inserts into another part and has a loop that comes down and holds it together also as a back up? That's what I have. I will get whatever I need. I put it away until I have it checked.

The jewelry fairy must be busy this weekend. My wife lost a pearl earring sometime Friday evening. She looked high and low to no avail, called around to places we'd been, etc.

While at the gym on Sunday, she looked in the same shower she had used on Friday and found the earring and its back on the floor. She was happy!!

Great luck, but yuck! :faint: I hope she wears shower shoes!

:scratchin The "Mickey" is a wonderful idea, Dawn! My grandmothers have both left diamonds to me as well as having one from a first marriage. Rather than continue to have them sit in a jewelry box, I could easily have a "Mickey" made, too. :teeth:

Plain diamond pendants are pretty common and one would have to have a ROCK to even have it be noticable. But when you add two little ears, everyone notices it and they are usually so shocked that an adult would have a Mickey on their neck, particularly a diamond one. :earsgirl:

Wow, thats great! After all of your lucky posts today, I'm convinced you should go out and play the lottery. :goodvibes

That's amazing that it was still there considering other people come and go and use the shower. Good for her!!
