Today is my 60th birthday and I'm very sad..

If they ordered it from Amish country, it may take a while to get to you. They don't believe in overnite express down there.

Well - you see now - that's where I made sure I had all my "ducks in a row".. I found an Amish buggy up here before my birthday..

Come to find out there's a very large Amish community an hour and 5 minutes from here and on my way to the city where I got my new glasses, I passed by a place that makes and sells Amish furniture and buggies..

There it was - right out in front of the barn - the exact buggy I wanted.. Also spotted the horse that I want on a horse farm about 5 miles from here - pitch black - absolutely gorgeous!! (Would also match nicely with the shiny black buggy..)

So if they're going to try to use "delivery" as an excuse, they're out of luck..

And if I "don't" get my horse and buggy?? Well - come this weekend I'm going to drag ALL of them to that Amish community up this way this weekend and give them a good taste of what they're missing!!

All I can say is those ungrateful brats sure have some nerve. You remember that when it's their birthdays.

We were in PA Amish Country last year for my birthday, and I just wanted one of those scooters. I still haven't gotten one.

I'm tellin' ya - the "kinner" are gonna be right sorry - for sure and for certain - if they don't have my buggy and horse when they show up this weekend.. If they don't have it, I won't be baking any goodies for them and they'll be gettin' double chores for a month..

And if the weather is decent, Im gonna drag them over there to that Amish community and show them just what all they're missin' out on.. Might even tell that ungrateful son-in-law of mine that he's obligated to build me a "dawdi" house - attached right to the side of their house.. (After all, it's "our way"..) If he thinks the buggy and horse were out of his price range, we'll see how he feels about the cost of my dawdi house!!

And my ungrateful "dorchder"?? Little does she know that she better pay close attention to any goods we may come across that the Amish are selling while we're off on our little jaunt.. That way she'll be ready to participate in the "quilting frolics" I'll be hosting in the middle of her living room this winter..

I'm tellin' ya - these young folks today are completely "ferhoodled".. Don't have a lick of sense in the whole bunch of 'em..
