In 1810 was the first performance of Beethovens music for Goethes Egmont.
In 1843, Composer Edvard Grieg was born in Norway. He composed some of the finest Piano Concertos as well as the familiar Peer Gynt Suites.
The First Performance of John Phillip Sousas famous "Washington Post March" was conducted by Sousa, performed by the Marine Band outside the Smithsonian Institution in 1889.
