My realtor suggested this colour for our entryway, well bad news is they dont make it anymore.
Apparently it has a fan club though because some woman had painted her room that colour and took a picture of the paint lid with the formula! I copied that down, took it to Lowes and Voila'!

Here is my entryway before

Ok bad picture but you can see it is WHITE

This is the entryway now

I love this colour! I kept the copy so I could paint something in my new house that colour

Have you ever found a colour that you just had to have in your house?

Thats very pretty..its similar to my living room/dining room I think...

Say your thread and knew it was a paint color. :rotfl2: Yes, it has a big fan club. I think there was even a decorating blog named after it. I've never used the color, but it is pretty. http://nestingplacenc.blogspot.com/2008/02/paint.html

Here's the "recipe" if others want it. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_PYKSuTHLXaw/R6nMIwP237I/AAAAAAAAAt4/YUf9A3Wa44g/s1600-h/DSC_0002.JPG
Also, someone posted the recipe in the comments here:

I have a favorite, also a favorite of my paint store, its close. Its Benjamin Moore's Stone House. Every picture on the internet looks different however.

I had a hard time finding tobacco road colored grout for our bathroom. That color had to be special ordered and we didn't have time, We wound up getting "earth" color grout and it isn't that different.

The paint color is really pretty.

It shouldn't be that hard for someplace like Home Depot or Lowe's to get the color. I know at THD the computer system at the paint desk has competitive formulas and also allows for a search by color name across many different makers. If you know who originally made this particular color (important in case the search finds the same name under multiple companies) and the formula is in there, then it's no problem.

I believe that I have just found the paint color for my entryway, hall, staircase and upstairs hall!:thumbsup2

I almost did Tobacco Road all over my house(sherwin williams paint stores still have that formula and will mix it for you)

But then foolishly saw internet pictures that scared me on the Yellow factor of it.

When in reality I think it is more mellow than it appears in some rooms.

I LOVE it!

That is the color I was thinking about for my breakfast nook. Still do not which way I'll go with that one.

Yep thats where I found it. :thumbsup2

I am really loving it. It looks a lot different in the daylight (I painted last night) but its still gorgeous.

the funny thing is my hubby works for a pipe tobacco company.

I knew you had been to The Nester's blog when I saw this post! Love her, and her blog and Etsy shop. I went to SW to buy a sample of TR, and unfortunately it was way off from the Nester's color. Someone did post the correct SW formula in the comments on her blog, so I may try it again.

I've had that color in my great room for the past few years. It's a nice neutral, but I've become bored with it.

I want something a little bolder, so I bought both a buttery yellow and a terracotta.

I really like them, I just need to work up the nerve to actually do it.

What a lovely colour, your entryway looks very warm and inviting.

To answer your question though: yes I have found several colours that I 'had' to have in my house, usually everytime I go to the paint store.
I'm only allowed 'supervised' visits :rotfl: The last colour was Benjamin Moore's Rusty Nail, which I used in my living room.

LOL Suejai, I know that feeling. DH has imposed that rule on me too. He was amazed that the realtor suggested, I found it, had it mixed, and the entry painted within 4 hours.

I touched up the trim this morning before the photographer came to take the listing pictures. Hopefully that sets it off more. I have to go back and get maybe one of the sample cans of it though to touch up a quart was just a little short for that amount of wall space.

It didnt come up in their systems at all. I thought that was weird too but Sherwin Williams was closed so I only tried Lowes. They tried Durcon and Sherwin but neither came up with up the name Tobacco Road

:confused3
