I used to read many wonderful things about the Whispering Canyon Cafe. However, these days...not so much :confused3 It's a place that I've always wanted to try but am a little more reluctant. What's your recent experience??? Thanks!:listen:

We ate there twice last December, once at breakfast and once at dinner. We like the food both times, but we did not care for the antics. Just not our thing (we found it embarrassing at times and insulting at other times) Luckily, they will respect your wishes if you let your server know you don't want to be personally involved.

I think it is definitely worth a try at least once. Many people love the atmosphere and the food is pretty good. We thought the ribs were excellent!

Oh, one thing that we did think was neat. There was a couple celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary and the server had the entire restaurant and WL lobby sing "We're Going to the Chapel". It was sweet.

We tried WCC for the first time two weeks ago. It is now one of our favorites. Got the "all-you-care-to-eat" platter. I just kept eating, couldn't stop myself. We love BBQ though.

We got a kick out of the antics. As the previous person posted, they did the singing of "Going to the chapel" and also had a kissing contest with 3 couples on their anniversary. There was a whole lot more going on. My son even put down the gameboy to watch what was going on. Actually stood up so he could see better.

I always say try something once, you don't have to go back if you don't like it!

When I went in Feb, I loved it. When I went last week, I wasn't so crazy about it. I think it's good to do once, but not something to hit every trip.

Thanks for your replies! Is there anyone on the boards this morning who has an opinion???

We went to WCC for dinner in June 07 (we were staying at the WL) and really enjoyed it so we decided to go back this year in May 08. The food this year was just ok and we were in the back room and did not get to see much of the antics. It was not terrible, but there are just too many other great places to eat at WDW that we think we will try some other places next time, but I would recommend to try it at least once:thumbsup2
