Currently for our vacation we have a ticket with enough days for the time we are there. We don't have the hopper option. However, we have 2 tickets from my mom and me's previous vacation with 1-day with hopper left. My mom just says to go ahead and use it if we need it... but then if I go to a park with no intention of visiting another, but later in the day choose to visit another I feel bad using the hopper ticket for one park 1/2 day when I used my non-hopper pass for the 1st park.. make sense? I guess I feel like if I use the hopper I should know ahead of time if I'm going to hop so I can use it for the entire day? And part of me feels bad using it since it would take a day away from our ticket we won't use (but no big deal about price the cost different is only couple dollars) but maybe it's just the principle of things. I don't know if I'm making any sense either. I guess I just feel I should or shouldn't plan a day to go to 2 or more parks?

You are planning to go to a park and then maybe leave park for a lunch then go to another park after I say use PH,DW and I do it often.Plus I think it is more fun to park hop than stay in same park all day. :goodvibes :flower: :wizard:

I understand what you are saying.

Why don't you try to use the hopper on your first or second day...kinda get it out of the way, then you won't have that option if you change your mind on a day when you weren't planning to hop? KWIM?

I think you will be glad to have a hopper one of the days, I'd take them if your mom doesn't mind.

Normally using the 1 day hopper pass at all is a bad bad bargain if your total vacation consists of 5 to 10 theme park days. Better to save it for a day tripper (or 2 or 3 day vacation) further off in the future.

If you absolutely positively need to park-hop for exactly one day, then it is a reasonably good idea to use the hopper with one day for the single park hopping day. (Instead of adding hopping to the multi day pass you have for $37.)

If you consider park hopping just an excuse to use up the 1 day pass, you are not just leaving a day on your expiring multi day pass unused, it is just like throwing away the hopper with one day into the wastebasket, which hopper under some conditions has a value of more than sixty dollars.

You are right - I feel like I am throwing it away in a sense. I think I will refrain from using it. My mom says to take it on my trip... maybe I'll just leave it at home so I won't be tempted to use it.

Animal Kingdom is the only park where I couldn't spend a whole day - plus it closes earlier than any of the other parks.

If you'd really like to park hop, it's a better value to add park hopping to your current tickets for $37.28 per ticket than to use an old park hopper ticket (whose value is almost certainly more than $37.28) and leave a day on the new ticket unused. That way you can park hop every day without guilt!

By the way...how many days' worth of admission did you buy for your upcoming trip?

We got 6 just in case. It was only $4 more than a 4-day ticket. I think we'll only use 5, but we figure to get 6 since the pluses are 4 instead of three.. just in case :)
