I was just wondering how many of you use the Magical Express yellow luggage stickers/tags? I have not used them before in the past because I am so paranoid about my luggage possibly getting lost, however, I am contemplating using them this time because it will save time and hassle. What has been your experience? Any advice? :confused3

Use them! Its all part of the magic! As long as your airline doesn't lose you luggage you'll be fine.

I've used them many times. Never had a problem.

Same here.

If your luggage is going to get lost, it's far more likely that it's going to be the airline who loses it. And, trust me, if the airline does lose your luggage, you'd much rather have DME take care of finding it while you're off starting your vacation.

Would never even cross my mind to NOT use the tags. The ease of not having to handle my luggage from MSP to my room at my hotel - worth more than anything! So so so slick! I wish every airport had a service like this!

We don't use them. We like to get our own bags because of the what if factor. What if this is the one time that our bags don't make it. I'd rather be at the airport dealing with that then wondering at the resort.

We are a family of 5 and just bring 2 suitcases.

one of the advantages of ME is knowing that I don't have to lug my bags around the airport or the hotel.

I always use them.

If you use ME and your bags don't make it, ME deals with it. To be honest, I don't understand why people who don't have a problem with the idea of letting the airline deal with getting their luggage from their home airport to MCO aren't comfortable with the idea of letting ME getting their luggage from MCO to the hotel. I mean, what's the difference?

I am the person that will try to find my bag as it is loading onto the plane while we are sitting in the terminal.

I like to know my bag made it then and not a few hours later. Plus we don't do a park that first day so depending on where we are for timr, we might need something from our suitcase before ME could get it to us.

It is really no big deal to pick it up. Actually the few times we have gone with ME available, the bags come out quickly.

The only difference is with ME you have the choice to keep the bags with you. But, that comes with the loss of time in waiting for your bags at baggage claim, AND tipping the drivers for storing your bags (yes, I know only a couple bucks, but every little bit counts). Other than that, I agree with you. The odds are MUCH more likely the airline loses the bags.

OP (and whoever), ANY time you're giving your luggage up to another entity (airline, ME, cruise line, whatever), make sure you have a carryon with necessities (medicines, valuables), and ideally whatever you need to get through 24 hours if your luggage get to you in an appropriate time.

Absolutely! I pack a small(ish) carryon with anything I need for the first 24 hours plus anything valuable/irreplaceable. I've used ME only twice, but I love being able to check my bag at departure and not have to deal with it again. Both times, I checked in to my resort and headed straight to Epcot, and when I got back to my room later, my bag was there. (And in the event that it did not make it, I think I'd much rather work with Disney to find it than the airline.)

The only time we do not use the tags is when we have an evening flight. It can take a while to get those suitcases and I prefer at that point to get our own (especially when traveling with younger children).

I always use them. that's one of the biggest perks for me. And like other people have said it's more likely that the airline will lose your luggage. I put anything IO'll need for the first 24 hours in my carry-on. So I don't have to wait around for my bags to reach my room.

We always use it. In fact we would never stay offsite or at the Swan/Dolphin because we wouldn't be able to use DME. Whoever thought of DME was a genius because of the many people that will only stay onsite because of DME.
