To use MM or not: That is the Question

So, we're looking at a mid-July weekend trip with friends. I know, both mid-July and weekend are terrible words to use in the same sentence, but for various reasons, it must be that way. We will probably have a half day in the parks on Friday, but our two full days are going to be Saturday and Sunday, so here's my conundrum: If we use our MM entry on Saturday at DL, that leaves us doing DCA on Sunday, which has EMH for resort guests. If we get to DCA at regular rope drop on Sunday, aren't there already going to be lines for Carsland attractions? So, is it better to not use the MM entry and do DCA on Saturday, where we'll be at even footing with other park guests and DL on Sunday, where we'll have that same even footing? Another option is to get hopper, and start Saturday at DL with MM and try to hop to DCA just before opening-- not sure if that's crazy to even think about. So, what is the best option in this scenario?

if your value is on RSR rather than Fantsyland, then your choice is Saturday for DCA. As for even footing in Disneyland on Sunday, you will probably be all bunched up for rope drop and since Fantasyland is not a priority you will have no problems in the other lands achieving your choices . Idea works for you

When we did a magic morning last summer, they didn't even open the gates until 7:30am and with so little open I think we only got on one maybe two rides before the official 8am park opening. We did just as well at 8am the other mornings without the extra morning rush and standing in line for half an hour getting increasingly frustrated.

Thanks for the replies. I think we may forgo MM and get an extra hour of sleep! We can do DCA on Saturday and DL on Sunday that way.
