To use Dining Plan or Not use Dining plan?

i'm curious (am DVC member, so opting for the DDP doesn't have restrictions), is the OP actually eligable for the DDP? my understanding that DDP could only be as part of a MYM package, which from what i've seen, would exclude any other discounts (as in the pass upgrade).
to OP ~ was the DDP offered, or are you just considering it?

I have a packake is a room disconnt, upgarde to park hopper & water parks, and they let me add MYW + dining.

Generally, the only times adding the DDS excludes other discounts are during free dining or if the discounts are room only (like AP or FL resident). The free ticket upgrade code was available for packages with dining. I know, cause we're booked with the same special and deluxe dining for next week's trip.

As I pointed out here: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1678194 you save about $6 a day per adult on average on the 2008 DDP. If that is worth it for you then get it.

Yup. Did you use my spreadheet to get your numbers? They look familiar .

I did Averages of nearly all the restaurants on the DDP. The average TS = $28, the average = $13 and I figure a snack to be $2.50 (especially with the new rules). Personally, I am not sure if it's still worth it for us. We may just go back to using the DDE card instead.
