to use a stroller or not

According to the OP, her children are too heavy to ride in the umbrella stroller, her purpose for bringing it is not to give her children a place to rest and ride.


**I assumed that if she took the stroller that the kids would end up riding in it.
She didnt state the childrens weight but I know my six year old and sometimes 8 year old still jump in our umbrella stroller (I really wasnt to aware of any weight limit).

That being said, I still say no to the original question. Bringing a stroller with the sole purpose of using it as a shopping cart to carry things, not children, is wrong.

All strollers do have a weight limit, umbrella strollers have a lot less weight carrying ability than the regular stroller.

We brought a stroller last year for DS6, then 5, but then he wound up walking a lot and we used the stroller to carry the backpack and threw our water bottles and purchases in the basket underneath. This year, we are still bringing the stroller. DS will most likely need a rest, and I want somewhere to toss my backpack to give my shoulders a break. I'd say bring it. Who cares what the reason is for. If you think it will help you out in some way, why not? Who cares what people think? It's your vacation, do whatever you want to make sure you enjoy it.

I stopped using a stoller at five with my youngest and he was fine. Both my children were able to walk with out many problems. We just stopped when they were tired and got a snack. We also spent time a Mickey's ToonTown fair at the playground and the Dino dig so that the parks didn't seem so overwhelming. Plus, when they were really tired or got cranky we just went back to our rooms, put on the bathing suits and went swimming.
