So a litle while ago, the hubster and I are just chatting in the living room when the topic comes around to Disney. I cannot recall how we got on the topic, but it wasn't even on my mind or anything. Suddenly the hubster pops out with "I have a winter break sometime in March." (he's a teacher). Since he's a baseball nut, and Braves fan, I remind him that is also Spring training at WWoS.....so he reaches over to the end table and.................

grabs the DVC points guide.

Then he gets online and checks his school calender and realizes...............

his break is in Feburary!!!!

However, he says "we could still go, just no baseball."

But then I remind him, that aside from food, our trip would be realatively cost free. Since it would be a short trip, we wouldn't get the dining plan, our APs are still good until March, and well room -- umm we're DVC. We'd probably eat a meal in the park but go offsite as well.

So yeah, we are the nuts everyone will say 'YOU'RE GOING TO DISNEY AGAIN?!?!?!"

Shhhhh, I don't think we will tell anyone for this trip.

Look for us in Feb..........

Now to decide where to stay.........and to call in the a.m. and book.

Also, tomorrow is also the date I can make ADRs for our June trip. WOOT!

Never knew I could think of so many reason to need to be in Florida but DVC is the perfect excuse to head to WDW--even for a day or two.
Have a great time on your spontaneous vacation. Let those other folks scratch their heads while you have another great trip to Disney!

You're not the only one.

We have been in November in 2007 & 2008.

Went in Feb 2009, I went with my sister in April 2009 & are now headed back for Christmas 2009.

Husband has mentioned going again in Feb 2010. Phew! I always like when it's the husbands idea.;)

I love it when a plan comes together, but I also love it when there's NO plan and you still get to go to WDW.:earsboy:

Welcome to the "crazy Disney" club!!! As of our first-ever Christmas trip inside of three weeks, this will mark our THIRD trip to Disney this year!!!

How exciting! Here you thought you were going to have to wait about 6 months, but now you only have about 3!!!

Have fun planning the trip. We won't tell anyone..... :confused3

Good for you! I am trying to convince my hubby that we should take an adults only trip soon. He's thinking November 2010 but I like idea of Feb much better :goodvibes

DH and I just got back from Disney in Oct. We stayed at AKV in a studio at Jambo and loved it. We will be there for 8 days starting Jan. 1 with our two adult kids, and the other day I was trying to talk him into going in Feb or March, wish me luck:rotfl:

Don't you love spur of the moment decisions! It's so nice to read the DIS DVC forums and realize there are others out there like us.

We've been discussing our Christmas newsletter and I wanted to put in it that we joined the DVC, but DH keeps pointing out that so far no one we've told understand why we would buy or even want to go to WDW so many times. Most still think of WDW as an amusement park and why would you want to do that when you're an adult? :sad2:

We've had 3 trips like this that were planned with very little time (2 years ago spring break was planned in less than 2 weeks). It's a wonderful treat! Our friends think we're crazy too.

Funny how things work out isn't it? We had 3 trips to WDW this year and for next year we decided to only go 2 times. Well......we are BIG Phillies fans and decided to go to spring training in March. We wanted to go from a Friday - Tuesday but couldn't get reasonable air cause it's spring break time. We now arrive on a Wednesday staying at OKW till Friday. Spending time in Clearwater & going to some games then heading back to OKW on Monday & leaving Tuesday. Air only $89 one way instead of $129 leaving on a Friday. Thanks to DVC & AP's we get to enjoy a little bit of everything we love, The Phillies and WDW. I know it will only be for a short time, but any amount of time at WDW is wonderful.

I love my DVC!!!!

Have fun and enjoy your February trip!!

Cyndi

We've had an "excuse" to have to make it to DL at least one or more times every year for over 10 years now. DVC has been great for us. Many people don't understand, but all of you do:) The spur of the moment trips are the best.
:santa:
