To those that got the free dining PIN...

I did, but the free dining pin I got this morning came in my friend's name. He's also coming on the trip, but has never booked one as the primary guest, it's always been me. My travel agent was able to get it applied for us, we saved $400!

I got one this morning in my email, yesterday when I called they said I didn't have one. We already have our trip booked and had already added the dining plan. We were going to use Kids stay and play free discount but now we'll use this one instead. Much better deal. It's for dates: 4/23–8/13/11.

Interestingly enough, both my DH account and my account gone several % off codes before they expired. I used the one under my account to book two rooms right before the PIN expired. Tonight I received a FD PIN on my account, but none yet on his account (and he usually gets more PINS than me.)

Don't know if it has anything to do with it though.


ETA: I did save one vacation on my account right after booking the % off room-onlys. No vacations were saved on his and he hasn't even logged in in over a year.

DH got one last night, so all that stuff did not have a thing to do with it

I received both pin codes but have no trips planned, have not looked into a trip, and was there last in 2008. Hmmm....

Got the one for room discounts which expired and got the new one for FD. I have no vacations saved on the site. I did however price many with the room pin. we went this past august on free dining general offer, booked through Disney.

I think the dates for this one go to 8/13/11.

Anyone think this means free dining for the general public will be available after that? Or will it be a PIN. We want to go 8/22 - 8/30

I got the FD PIN Code Disney Destinations email last night. We already have a May trip booked using the 40% off PIN Code, which we received via snail mail postcard. Makes NO sense!!

Had a trip booked for February with a public free dining offer, canceled it last month due to switching to a friend's March DVC trip instead. I've never gotten a pin, and kinda gave up hope on ever getting one. Then my dad got the Free Dining pin earlier today. Too bad it's after our DVC trip...

Good for "4/23–8/13/11."

We received one in three different email accounts. We do not have a trip booked, but have saved some on the Disney site. I also ordered the dvd a couple of months ago. We also received the one that expired 2/28.

Ours was booked at POP but it looks like we may have to move. They say all the POP rooms allocated for the free dining pin are booked. According to a CM they sent out 9 million pins and rooms are going fast.

My daughter got the FD pin and our TA was able to apply to it to both our reservations...at POP, so evidently we were twice lucky.

She has received at least 4 pins, and I have received none. Not sure if she has a vacation saved or not, but I know she has an online account, and has sent for the planning DVD. I have a couple of packages saved on my online account, sent for DVD, and customized maps. We booked our packages through Small World...HIGHLY recommend this agency, Marion has been a tremendous help and has happily checked out each and every pin code my daughter received to see if it was a better deal for us or not. I assume that even though we booked through a TA that Disney 'knows' we have a reservation, but she didn't receive her first pin until after we booked. I agree with an earlier poster that said it seems odd that they would send them to people who have already booked versus people who have shown interest but not booked yet...but I'm not complaining!

We had a trip book with dining during the FD code dates. I do have two packages saved. We were able to apply the FD codes to our existing reservations at FQ and upgrade to the regular dining instead of the counter service only. Saved over $1,200!!!

My friend just got this pin yesterday and the dates are for arrivals most nights 4/23–8/13/11. Also, funny thing is she received it in her maiden name. She's been married for 10 years and hasn't had any contact with Disney in that entire time. So again, who knows how or why certain people get them. Too bad she can't use it.

We had a trip booked with 2 rooms under kids stay and play and 1 room at the % off. I got the pin and we got it applied to all 3 rooms for over $600 in savings if you figure we would have spent about the same $ as the QSDP would have cost. We were more than happy about that!!! I figure Disney made a good choice sending us the pin, now they are for sure getting our eating dollars. But after 5 days free dining and 3 days eating on the cruise ship I know I will be gaining weight big time!

I had booked and paid for trip in Oct. 2011 and got the pin valid thru 8/13 today.

I got the Free Dining PIN yesterday (dates 4/23-8/13) but our trip is booked for December. So far I've gotten a PIN for each deal that's come out this year, so hopefully my luck will continue when PINS are released for the end of the year.

I had just booked a September trip with the room only discount pin the day before it expired and got the free dining pin a few days later.
