Hi all, I am staying at BCV in August and wanted to know where I should request in order to be the shortest walk from SAB?? I am staying in a 1BR. Are these all in a certain section?
Hi ML- BCV is, as you'll discover, a fairly small resort, so there is not a whole lot of difference from any of the room locations. Still, if you want to have the shortest walk possible to the BC and SAB, you'd want to request rooms with either a BC or woods view.
You'll find a very handy resort map here. Remember, to get to SAB you'll basically be going through the BC.

We have stayed there twice. The first time we asked for a quiet pool view and was close to the elevator and had a nice pool view. The next time requested the same and were very far from the elevator even though we still had a pool view. I would suggest asking for a room near the elevator

The more general your requests, the more likely you are to be happy.
BCV has something like 95% - 99% occupancy. If you request a specific room, it has to be being vacated the morning you are checking in. The chance of that very room being available are slim to none. Since that is your primary request, the room assigner has not idea why or what it is you really want.
I would never request a room by number.
I don't think you should add more, I think you should replace your request.
You should list 3 at most, ordered as to what is most important to you. Do you want first floor most importantly? Make that your first request. Do you most want to be near the elevators? Make that your first request. The more requests you add the less likely you are to get that exact combination and again they don't know what is most important to you.
All that said, a request is just that, a request. Given the consistently high occupancey here, there is a chance that you won't get any of your requests - they simply may not be available. If this is the case you can ask about moving when something becomes available, if it is that important to you. They can charge for a room change just for a request though.
We have always been happy with our Villa. We only request higher floor.
Have a Great Trip.
