To Sue and KPeveler

I also want to add my thanks to Sue and Katy! You must both be awake round the clock to deal with all this right now. Much appreciated all the updates and accurate information!

i echo the statements - our Mods ROCK. i would also like to let you all know of my awesome experience the past ten days not only at WDW but SeaWorld and Universal as well. I did request disabled assistance and received it with no problem, but if it wasn't for all of you here I never would have been brave enough to ask. The amazing thing was - i only had to take the pass out ONCE. All I had to do was ask for help and got it, no questions asked. I can't stand in the sun due to medication reaction and i was directed to a shaded area and at BOG received that AND a courtesy umbrella! i can't climb stairs properly and was shown the elevator with no problems. i was so impressed with the way I was treated and so happy i had this board to encourage me!
thank you so much!
Jenne

Agreed! My first trip with my disease was a fairly miserable experience. I tried super hard to keep up, ended up with a wheelchair in Epcot and us really not knowing how to handle it, etc. when our next plans came about, I came to check out this board in a panic. I learned so much and experienced such kindness and support. Now, I get excited because I learn more each time around and our trips just keep getting better and better due to all of the info here.

The most informative board here. I admire the patience and respect that you both exhibit.

Just wanted to add my thanks. I'm so glad you're providing a place to find accurate, organized information. Thank you!

Thank You Thank You for all your information! I have one question that I have not seen addressed. The original "rumor" on a different site said that we would be allowed only one return time at a time. I hope this is not true. The way we tour WDW is land by land, or area by area in other parks, with no 2nd ride on the same day. This is "rule" from my age 18 DS with autism. I can see us waiting in the more congested areas for a very long time i.e. Fantasyland. Again THANK YOU for all your help.

I opened a new discussion thread for questions.
The answer to your question is in the new thread.

The information right now (which I assume IS how it will be) is that a DAS holder can only have one active Return Time at a time on their DAS card at a time.

But, you will still be able to use Fastpass (or Fastpass + when it becomes active), and if you see an attraction with a short wait in the Standby line that will work for you, you can go into that attraction.

I've been a lurker in here for quite a while and never understood why all the GAC threads got closed so quickly...I now completely understand after seeing the heated threads on other boards here. Thank you so much to the mods for trying to keep things here as calm and non-confrontational as possible. It's the one place to come for the facts, without all the drama and fighting. The lack of compassion for other people and their situations/disabilities is disheartening - not just here, but todays society in general.
