I think the question is...Why do you want to do the split stay? If you really want to stay at both resorts, then it's a great way to do that. You kind of get two vacations in one, from the resort standpoint.
I do think having only a week is a little bit short for a split stay. Ten days is better, then you get enough time to really settle in to each resort. We find that the shorter part always feels too short!
We like split stays but when I'm packing up in the middle sometimes I'm like, why did I do this? Then when I get to the new resort, I'm always happy for the change of scenery
