Just wondering what some of you thought of the latest TO controversy. I just heard that he just got a fine for $35K. But to him who makes $25 million, thats the equivalent to a speeding ticket for you and me, so not much of a deterant if you ask me. I think TO is a good athlete, has a lot of talent, but I'm beginning to think he is just plain dumb. Just because you are a talented singer/actor/athlete, or whatever doesn't necessarily mean you have any brains IQ/intelligence. I think this may be the case with this guy. Just not the brightest bulb in the ceiling.

After knowing how much the spotlight is on him and the media scrutinizes him at every turn, you turn around and spit in another players face? Doesn't sound too smart to me.

I really wish that the Cowboys had a new owner that wouldn't buy players like TO. They are an embarassment to the team and to the city. I can't stand Jerry Jones.

Thank goodness Philly got rid of him! He is some sort of enigma - "oh poor me; everyone picks on me!" and then he does these dumb things that proove he's just a big baby with a big paycheck. There is absolutely no reason for a person to spit in another's face - during a game no less! I hope the Eagles kick Dallas' rear (it would be a nice Christmas gift for us tempermental Philly fans!). :p

I was shaking my head when he did that. The guy is nothing but a media freak and honestly, the team DOES NOT NEED distractions like him. :sad2: I wish they would send his big booty packing.

I couldn't agree more, what an **** he is, such an embarrassment :sad2: and yes, that would be a nice Christmas gift :teeth:

Some athletes, no matter how talented they are, are just not worth the perpetual chaos they create.

TO is one of those athletes.

How long until the Dallas fans get as fed up with his antics as the Philly fans?

I'm already fed up with him, and I'm jumping ship to the Chicago Bears until the Cowboys are under a new owner with class.

I'm no To fan but the fact of the matter is he has helped this team. He is not the first player to spit on another player and his antics this season are a far cry different than last year in Philly.

There will always be players that create controversy on a pro team but as long as it is managed and the team is winning, nothing will change.

My husband made the comment last night that he should be banned from playing for anyone. I've never heard John be that vocal about any player but her really can't stand the way TO acts.

I was at the game Saturday night and never heard anything about it until the next morning.... could it have been the beer? :drinking1 :rotfl2: :lmao:

Seriously, I have been a huge Dallas fan for years and I like T.O. as a player (even though he has dropped alot of passes this year), I just don't understand his need for drama.
I don't know what will happen at the end of the season.....will they keep him or release him? :confused3

Jerry Jones will undoubtly keep TO. Just look at some other Cowboys over the years-Sanders, E Smith, etc., etc., etc.

How does Emmitt Smith fit into the same grouping as TO and Deion (that is, assuming you're coming up with other "bad apples" from the past)? :confused3

There is no way you can compare Deion and E to TO, Deion and E were model citizens and players. I'm not a TO hater, he is annoying much like a little kid that accidently spray paints your car. He has never done anything to be permanently suspended. Its not like he's shot someone, or his bodyguard shot someone, or what not, like other (including current) players have done. He just has a big mouth, there is no law against having a big mouth.

You mean that hit Hall or the beer you were drinking? :lmao:

What was dumb was he admitted to it when there isn't one shred of evidence. None of the TV's caught it and no officials saw it, yet he stood there and "Yeah I did it".

Then he found out there's no proof and of course now he's back-tracking on the appeal of the fine.

I happen to think Jerry Jones is a damn good owner compared to some of the other owners in the NFL. He's willing to do what it takes to win and has shown that, sometimes it hasn't worked out the way he would have liked, but that's the way life is. He admits his mistakes, like firing Jimmy Johnson and hiring Barry Switzer and Jerry and Jimmy mended their fences during a interview on tv a few years ago. It was pretty touching that both of them realised that they were both responsible for the Cowboy's success in the early 90's. Jerry Jones hiring Bill Parcells was a big change for Jerry and his hands on style and no one thought they would last a year, let alone four. Plus Jerry Jones has opened up his wallet when it came to shopping for free agents that Parcells wanted.

The T.O thing was a marketing decision along with helping the team reach the next level. T.O may be a head case and a pain in the a**, but he is an elite wide reciever that can change a game. It too bad that he can't get his personal life on track and pull it all together.

Trust me, if you want to see some bad ownership, take a look at the Chicago Bears and how well they did since winning Super Bowl XX in 1986. For years the Bears were stuck with the poor decissions of Mike McCaskey and the rest of that clan. The McCaskey's are famous for being cheap and not being too football savy or smart. They didn't hire a real GM to help run that team until the late 90's and the results speak for themselves. In fact it wasn't until Lovie Smith was hired, that it seemed things were turning around. I lived in the Chicagoland area for almost 40 years and I can count on one hand how many real winning seasons the Bears have had.
