To run or not to run - training question

Hi. I am training for Goofy 2012 suing Hal Higdon's Intermediate II plan. This involves a shorter long run on Saturday and a long run on Sunday. I am finishing up week 12, or at least I was supposed to today. I work at a daycare and there is a stomach bug making its way through the infant and toddler rooms. Of course I got it, starting feeling sick around 5 last night (Saturday). I did do my run in the morning. It was a 10 miler and today was supposed to be the 20 miles. This would be the second 20 miler and with this schedule you do a total of 3 of these.

Now I never actually got sick so dehydration is not an issue. I have just felt lousy and nauseous for the past 24 hours. Starting to feel better and slowly starting to eat light foods.

So now I guess my question is what should I do? I figure I have three options.
1. Do my 20 miler tomorrow. It was supposed to be a cross training day so instead I would do my long run on Monday and continue on with week 13, skipping my cross training day. The good news is that week 13 is less intense as far as distance in concerned.
2. Skip the 20 miler and continue on with week 13, doing my cross training tomorrow.
3. Repeat week 12. This is probably my least favorite option because it would cut my taper short by 1 week.

So....any thoughts, opinions, etc? Thanks!

If you feel up to it, I'd do the 20 tomorrow. I used a similar program for this year's Goofy, and only managed 1 20 miler and a 22 miler due to an injury, but I finished really strong. So, I think you'll be okay if you just skip it and continue the training, but if you're capable, why not do it tomorrow? :thumbsup2

I am a couple days late here...

I am assuming you missed your 20. No worries. Once you get your strength, just join back on your plan as written. There is no need to make up the run.

Yup...I missed it. I planned on trying and then I work 7am-12pm, came home and planned to take a short nap and slept for about 3.5 hours. I guess I needed it. I did my cross training (Zumba dvd) that day and have continued with my scheduled runs this week, going a little slower than usual. One more 20 miler and then I get to taper!!! Thanks for the advice!
