To Points needed to stay every change

I'm a new owner (just got my paper work) and the points chart for the BLT note ("Valid from Sept to Dec 09") Do the points needed to stay ever change? I thought our guide said they would never change.

the points for the weeks around easter will change as the date of easter changes - so there is a little movement due to holidays. other than that, the points for stays at DVC resorts should never change.

there is a small chance that the point chart will eventually be revised, but if they increase the cost of certain rooms at certain times, they will also have to make a corresponding decrease for other rooms at other times. (that's only happened once in DVC's 15 year history, though, so i wouldn't worry too much.)

The points change around the holidays like the other poster said.
It 's the week before and after easter, the few days around Thanksgiving and Chirstmas to New Years'

It's really not the points that change it's the dates that change for they season, ie magic dream premier.

The TOTAL number of points needed on the chart can never go up, but they can and do adjust for changing holiday dates.

The "valid from Sept - Dec 2009" is actually there because the resort is not open before September, so the points chart is not in effect until then.
It's a bit confusing, but they aren't talking about changing after December, they are talking about not being in effect before September. They do this because it's the "2009 Point Chart", which would ordinarily mean Jan- Dec.

As long as the total points needed top reserve a resort for a year are not changed , DVC does have the ability to change the point charts. In fact, this has happened at OKW, back in 1996, where some nights were increased a few points, some were decreased a few points and many were not changed at all.

Since that time, DVC has had opportunity to modify the point charts as each new resort opened and no other resort has seen any changes.

I would not expect any changes in the near future, but it is still worthwhile for DVC members to understand that it could happen (and has in the past).
