To pantyhose or not to pantyhose? Help!

Try traditional stockings that require a garter belt. No rubber/lace band to contend with. Just smooth silky goodness!!!

I could never get that strap thingie that holds the stockings to work. It always kept popping off. Especially at the back.

I say do what you want and are most comfortable with. Don't let the "No Hose" fashion police stop you from wearing them.

When dressing up I usually always wear some really nice barely there sheer stockings and always get compliments on my legs

I am a busy mom of three, and I work part time in the medical field (wearin' scrubs!). I am going to a wedding. Bought a cute dress (its purple) and please tell me, am I allowed to wear pantyhose? Do I wear something else? Nothing? (not loving that idea as my legs are ghostly white. Lol). Please fashionistas help me out!!!

Amen! I agree with you on all counts. If Kate Middleton can banish bare legs with dresses and the strapless wedding gown, then she's my new personal hero and bless her!

I've never stopped wearing panty hose and I won't. I recently went to my 30 year hs reunion and sat in the front row for a photo--I didn't notice it at the time but the photo really showed off all those middle aged imperfections in bare legs. I'm glad I was wearing pantyhose.

YEP! These people need to stop kidding themselves and wear what is flattering not what some 6ft size 0 model with legs up to her neck wears b/c looking clownish IS never in style.

I was so thrilled when I saw Kate in the non strapless dress not that she could not wear one well but I said well now people who look like they have huge bags of chicken fat hanging off the back and sides of their dresses will change their style thankfully. Strapless is for people who can wear them.

Pantyhose came back into style in 2009 or 2010.

Yes, I see this everyday. Most of the Manhattan office working women are back to wearing hose.

Not wearing hose is a sign of the times. Women dress for comfort without caring what they look like. Years ago women wore long-line bras that hid muffin tops. Now, women show their muffin tops without a second thought. It's become the norm, but not my norm.

I was at a funeral today, lots of women in dresses or skirts and lots of hose being worn. The younger females were bare legged but the 30's and up had on hose.

Thanks to threads on here I find myself checking out legs now , people are going to start talking about the nut case checking out everyone's legs.

Get a garter belt and sheer hose - you will look great. So comfy.

Or Neiman Marcus sells a product you spray on your legs that looks amazing (Sally Hansen product sucks compared to this)
