To Package or Not to Package?

Hello,

First trip to Orlando, combo WDW/US trip. I have the WDW part booked already. Arriving Dec 13, first 3 days at WDW. Checking into US on 16th, checking out US parks, 17th and 18, back to WDW for 4 more days. So need two nights, looking onsite to get the skip the line thing. We have two rooms for the 5 of us for all the WDW, thinking of only one room for these two nights.

Generally I have found a la carte to be actually cheaper when we do Disneyland versus a package deal. Is it the same for US when looking to stay at say the Hard Rock? Looks like it at first glance. TIA for any insight.

The biggest problem with packages is the extra fee that you'll get charged if you want to make any changes. You can get just as good a deal by booking everything separately.

No package. Portofino has bigger rooms if that matters and if you can get a good price.
