To or from...

"Huh?" you ask. Here's the jist:

I'm going to Pop in early December (not me personally, Pop Century) and plan to go to Downtown Disney at least once.

To get away from the norm I want to take the boat from Port Orleans Riverside to DTD or vice versa. Either way I'll be doing a bus to TTC since there are no resort to resort busses.

I arrive late morning on the first day so that'll be a non park day and when I'll most likely go to DTD.

What do you all think is the best time to go on the boat: going to DTD, leaving from DTD or both?

Most likely it'll be a major shopping day so I'll have a lot to take back to Pop.

Any thoughts?

I wouldn't go to TTC, I would go to a park, much more fun even if you can't go in... you could at least take a quick peek. And don't carry your stuff back to Pop, let them send it to the resort for you. It will be there probably the next day, or maybe the next day if it's late in the day. You just pick it up at the register "Everything Pop" (the hotel gift shop) near the door to the busses.

I would also go to POR from a park. This is actually something we try to do every trip. Dixie Landings was our first on property resort & we like to go back & check it out when we are staying at other resorts. We go to the food court for supper & then take the boat to DD--it's especially beautiful to see the all the lights from the water in the evening.
