Just booked and have less than 30 days till our trip.(3/2-3/8) Is it to late to get "good" adr's ?

We need a Birthday ADR for 3/3 so It will be at a park. Not sure which one, I have to look at crowd calendars and figure out where we will be.

I've never booked this close to our trip b4 and have never done the regular DDP.......feeling quite overwhelmed.

You can do it. You should be able to find some ADRs. Look at crowd calendar and the extra magic hours to see where you'll be when and then start booking. My twins DDs' birthday is 3/3...wish we were going to be celebrating at WDW. That day has EMH at HS until 10pm and MK is open until 11pm, but the UT crowd calendar has MK as a red park that day (to avoid). So, it would be good to do the EMH at HS...or Epcot is open until 9pm. We might, if we were going, do 50's Prime Time at HS...we just went there for the 1st time in Dec and it was really good. Or you could do a dinner ADR at a resort and then head over to HS after dinner. Ohana is a good one that our family would pick for a birthday dinner (DS chose that a year ago for his 16th). Happy planning!

It seems like Epcot is your best option and there are lots of great restaurants available for that day - at Epcot and at the Y&BC. Since I do not know how big your party is I checked for parties of 4 and 6. Depending on the birthday person - Cape May, Beaches & Cream, Biergarten, San Angel Inn, Yachtsman's Steakhouse are all available between 6:30-7:30.

For the rest of your trip you should be able to find good adrs. Would not hold my breath for the super hard to get ones (BoG, CM, 'Ohana, CRT etc) but maybe playing with times you could find what you want :thumbsup2

No, it's never "too late" to get good ADRs, but you have to be willing to work a bit to get them. People's plan change, so ADRs do come open, but it's a matter of luck to get them. I would pick the ADRs you want the most and start checking for them on a daily (or even more than once per day) basis to see if you can score them. I tended to make my ADRs very early, but there have been times when I wasn't able to get what I wanted. So I would keep trying and usually something came up. Sometimes, I didn't get it until a week or so before my trip, but I would check multiple times per day. I managed to get 'Ohana and CRT this way, bu it took persistence and luck.

Many ppl book last min trips. You may not get your first choices on many things but the second choices are great too.

Well, pin those your parks first. Rely more on what you'd want to do than any crowd calendar. Once you pick a park each day, just look down the list of restaurants over at allears.net and pick a place at each one and book away.

I think it's kinda fun just how easy it is to book and change things online. I'm within my 180 window now and still able to find tons.

I just rebooked my trip 2 days ago for Feb 28- March 7 and have gotten all the ADRs I wanted except for Cali Grill. If you are willing to go for early dinners 5:30/6:00, you will have no problem. Good luck!
