Julie, Cory, and Ferris,

I have not listened to the Podcast in quite a while, so let me first say congratulations! Also, I was just listening to the 4/22 show when you mentioned that Ferris has DS. Let me just say that I am a father of a seven year old little girl with DS. Although I would not wish this on any new parent, I just wanted to let you know that at times it is a mixed blessing. I could not imagine having a more fun loving or happy child. You guys are already on the right track with educating yourself. Just keep it up and take it one day at a time.

Also, I have a friend in the Orlando area with a child with DS and she is currently involved in planning the next Buddy Walk in your area. I joked to my wife that they should approach Disney about hosting the event at Disney World.

Thanks for your words of encouragement! Corey and I know that some days will be more challenging than others as he gets older, but right now everyday is so joyful!

I have become very active with the DS association here in Orlando and I enjoy the support from the other Moms. I will have to get in touch with you about your friend. Maybe I already know her! Take care and hello to your little angel!
