To go premium economy or not?

Unless Virgin have changed their flights you get ice-cream, and socks in Economy too ;)

I have travelled with my familiy PE for the last 4/5 trips and its very worth it for the resons given before, at Orlando they let you off quickly and you get your bagge and car hire quickly as well as the perks on Flight.

Last year we saw Jonathan Ross come off our flight at Gatwick and all of his bags were first up!

Travelling one better in August Upper both ways, i have been luck to have PE upgraded a few times to UC but this will be the frist time actually booking it in advance both ways.

Can I ask what you paid? We've been lucky enough to be upgraded from PE to UC a couple of times and have been so close to actually booking UC a few times, but have never quite been able to bring ourselves to go through with it. I guess we're the same as those who say they can't justify the cost of PE over economy when you consider what else the difference would buy. For us, PE has become the norm and we don't think too much about what else we could be spending that money on.

ginette how far in advance can i reserve the seats?

I have upgraded to premium economy for the way out to florida, the extra room was the deal settler we are both tall so its nice to have some space, plus if the bags come off quick its a bonus.

will keep looking for deals to book return premium economy do deals like the £50 come round often?

I went PE last year to Orlando with Virgin (upper deck) and enjoyed the experience and would consider it to be worth the money. However, just returned from another trip when my husband, daughter and I sat downstaris in economy and my parents sat upstairs in PE. I had a bulkhead row 21 just behind the downstairs section of PE and I had more leg room although the seats were narrower. I joked with parents that on comparing our seats, they paid an extra £500 each for a glass of bubbly, a newspaper and a tub of ben and jerrys! Sitting in row 21 (have a look on the seat maps) meant we got off just after the UC and PE passengers too.

Whilst I did enjoy the PE experience when I did it we could not justify paying over £1000 this time to just sit on a plane for 16hrs. More florida spending money!!!
