Okay so next year (my senior year) they have a trip to Greece during April vacation. I think I want to go but the thing is that I want to do a graduation trip to Disney world in the summer with my best friend. My family is not that rich that we can go international any time we want but my mom said that I shouldn't pass this opportunity up.

What would you do?

Oh the first deposit is due April 11th for $450 and my mom says I have to pay half of it. The total trip is $2,123.

I personally would go to Greece.
I bet it would be amazing, and for a person like me, a once in a lifetime type thing.
Since Disney World is in America, maybe you could go again some other time.
But that's just me.
:)

I'm actually, in the same boat as you.
My parents said they'd take me and my brother to WDW in grade 11, and that's the year I'm finally old enough to go on the Euro trip.
And it's to Greece too. I feel like saying go to Europe, but I mean.. I might not get another chance to go to Disney with my family for a long time. I'm planning on trying to do the Intl CP for Disney, but if it doesn't work out..
I won't be going to Disney until I can afford to go myself.

If I can get a job this summer, and save the money up to pay for the trip to Europe, I might be able to do both.. but I don't think it's realistic.

I don't know what to tell you.

Personally, I'd go to Greece, but this is coming from someone who has ALWAYS wanted to go Greece.
It is an opportunity of a lifetime, so I'd jump on that.
When I was in 11th grade, I had the choice between France for 2 weeks or the UK for a week and a half. I chose the UK because my friend was going on it, but I always regretted my decision. I love France and French culture, and I was going with people from my French class, so it wouldn't have been that awkward.

I'd personaly, go with Greece.
I've always wanted to go, that I've started learning Greek.
It just seems like a once in a blue moon oportunity.

Since it sounds as though you won't get another chance to go to Greece, I would go there. Knowing that this is a disney board and all of us LOVE disney....you are probably going to go many times as an adult, or you never kow, you stillmight get disney too!

I would go! My school trip to Spain and Portugal was a once in a lifetime trip that I will NEVER forget. Everything was amazing.

I'm not a teen and pardon me for butting in...

I went on an international trip when I was a teenager, and even now, over 20years later, it stands out as one of the best times of my life. I experienced a different culture, made many new friends, saw amazing things, and really enjoyed the independence of being in a foreign country with a group of friends and without my parents.

Foreign travel is not something I've been able to afford as an adult, so I treasure the fact that my parents gave me that opportunity. I hope to be able to give the same to my daughter when the time comes.

You may never again have the chance to take a trip abroad with a group of friends/peers...I say go for it, and save Disney with the best friend for another special occasion!

I would definitley go to Greece.
That seems like possibly a once in a lifetime experience.
And maybe you could go to Disney another time.

I would go to Greece. One of my good friends went there last summer for a traveling girl scout group. They go everywhere. They are going to France this summer.

I saw the pictures she brought back and some clothes and neat things she bought.

Also, how many times have you gone to Disney? Maybe if you have gone a lot you might want to try somewhere else?

How long are you going to Greece for? I'm just curious myself. :goodvibes

I would choose Greece. Like others have said, you might not get this opportunity again. But your parents will probably be able to make another trip to WDW possible sometime in the near future. And you can always stay close to your friend and take her down with you another time.

GO TO GREECE!!!

It's basically a once in a lifetime trip.
you'll be in GREECE and you'll get to know all the ins & outs from a professional tour guide. You're seeing a side of the country that you'd never see as a normal tourist.
Worth every penny.

I went to Paris when I was in grade 10 and it was the best time of my life!!
Trust me! GO! I'd give up a Disney trip to go back anyday!!
And I made some AMAZZZING friends that I'll have for life!!

I think you'd regret it if you didn't go to greece!!

The trip to Greece is 9 days long from April 10th to the 18th I think. But the thing is that the people going are not really my good friends. Like if more people I actually hang around with at school and stuff were going then I'd be there in a flash. With this trip to Disney I've been talking about going with my best friend for like a year. I've been to Disney 8 times and she's only gone once and that was 10 years ago so basically I can show her the ins and outs of the parks.

If this was a trip to England or Paris then I'd totally be there. Those are 2 places I'd love to go to but Greece isn't a top priority of mine.

I think you answered your own question ;]

Me?
I'd be working my hiney off to afford BOTH trips.
But I'm selfish in that sense.

Go for Greece!

Go to Greece, I went on the Mediteranian Cruise last year, and it was great. I don't remember if it went to Greece per say, but we went near Greece, and it was lovely! And it's also a one time oppertunity so go for that! You can always just go to WDW some other time.:thumbsup2
