To Drive or not drive

We will have a car for our trip. We are staying at GF and this is our first trip to WDW.(I am sure not our last.....Already told DH I wanted to go back) so my question is do we drive to downtown disney or take their bus. Is there much parking for us?

We found plenty of parking available when we went, so I imagine you'd be fine unless you went at an exceptionally busy time. It was faster than the bus, and we were on our way out, so we just stopped there after checking out of the resort/before heading on out of town

DTD has lots of parking, but it does get pretty crowded in teh Marketplace side.

I prefer to park at the West Side lot, which is easier to navigate. But I also like to browse the West Side shops; if you are going strictly for the Marketplace, you should look around for parking there to avoid the longer walk.

Driving yourself will be much faster and easier than taking the bus, especially if you plan to do any major shopping. You can also stash your purchases in the trunk before heading off to dinner, or a movie at the Pleasure Island theater, or off-site shopping or dining (don't miss the outlets!)
