Hey everyone,
I have recieved a lot of questions about the change over day on back to back cruises. Instead of replying to each person induvidually I have decided to just post one so everyone can see it and hopefully even more people will benefit from it.
I first just want to say, if you have the chance to do back to back cruises..DO IT It was great.
Now in regards to the change over:
My family and I went to breakfast that morning in the dining room at 8 am. Then we were asked not to go back to our stateroom (we had the same room both weeks) in order for the host to give it a good cleaning. We did not have to pack or anything. During the time we were not in the room we basically just stayed on the ship and called some friends back home and just hung out. At 11:15 we went to guest services and gave in all of the new documentation and we then could do whatever we wanted again. It was very simple.
On board duing the change over, all of the crew had certain jobs they had to do, mostly cleaning and safety drills. However, it was not chaotic at all. In the Disney Theater they were actually touching up the scenary and the props for the shows and that was cool to watch. There was no food or drinks available for a two hour time period. Personally, the change over was really cool to see and it was fun for me because I got to talk to some of the crew.
I hope this clears up any questions people might have about the change over!!
