We went to Chefs De France last December and overall did not have a pleasant experience. We found it REALLY loud and the wait staff almost annoyed that we were there and when they did attend to us seemed to be rushing us- Not a relaxing experience. This was are first time and I would like to think it is better- should we try it again???

We have never had an experience like that in there, if anything, when we were in a hurry, we would have to rush them. They loved having us there. We love the restaurant.

My DW and I dined at CdF last week for dinner and had a very enjoyable experience. I had the filet that was excellent. The sauce was especially delicious and the beef was prepared exactly as ordered. My wife had the goat cheese salad. She liked that, too.

Our server was definitely "upselling" the menu in terms of the drinks and entrees and was very efficient. That was OK with us because we were not planning to linger anyway since we wanted to see more attrcations.

We really like the theming and seating with the windows to the park.

We had a 7:00 PM ADR, but found that we were ready for dinner earlier so I asked at the podium if we could get in earlier. At first I was told to come back at 5:00 PM when they opened for dinner and put my name on the list. However, when I returned at 5:00 PM I was told by a different CM that there were no "walk-ups" until I told him that I had the 7:00 PM ADR. He then told me that we would be seated witihn 5-10 minutes. He was right! :)

It is one of the better restaurants at EPCOT IMHO. I hope your next visit to CdF is better.

My husband and I ate there for the first time at the end of August. It really was not a great experience at all. Both of our meals were pretty bad and the service was awful. We definitely won't go back again. It was honestly the only bad dining experience we had all week.

We had a terrible meal there and even worse service this past March....I will not be going back to that restaurant, so disappointing.. I do like the Bistro, upstairs, and a bit more upscale, but good meal and good service..

There are so many choices now I would prefer to do take out at another country than to eat at Chefs de France.. JMO

We went last Saturday and had an amazing time. We made an 8:00 p.m. ADR and when we were ordering our dessert, Illuminations began and we watched from our table for two. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and was able to help me order without bringing a Chef over to talk ingredients. He also knew alot about Illuminations. This was one of our favorite experiences while we were there!

And if they have it try the pumpkin soup!

I've never been disappointed with Chefs de France. My husband and I dined there with a vegetarian friend and the server could not have been more helpful with getting our friend a meal that she really enjoyed without having to have the chef make something special for her (she hates that special treatment thing). Another time, I was supposed to meet someone there and he never showed (and didn't call either) so I ate by myself and that server was fantastic. Unlike at another non-Disney restaurant on Disney property and accessible from both inside and outside of Animal Kingdom, I was not put at a table right next to the kitchen door. In fact, I had a table looking out at the Showcase Lagoon and walkway.

And then there was the time my daughter-in-law just wanted to take a picture of a French chef for her cousin who was in chef's school. We weren't even eating there but not only did she get her picture, the chef talked to her and my granddaughter was an apprentice server and delivered water to a few of the tables. All this during regular dining hours.

We enjoy the food at Chefs for lunch if we are going during the low season and the place is not full. I do not think the food is good enough to go for dinner.

The food is much much better upstairs at Bistro and the all adult atmosphere is very nice and quiet.

I find the service at both to be similar to the service that we had in Paris. It's not as "in your face" as the service here in the US is and I have not minded that at either restaurant at Epcot.

I'm a fan of Chefs. We're planning on trying Bistro in February and I'm very much looking forward to it.

I forgot to add that if you do go to CdF, the creme brulee is excellent and the coffee there is definitely not the standard theme park Nescafe variety. :)

We ate there in April, right when they opened at 5:30 and we did not think it was loud but we were right up against the windows. We both loved the food!

Ditto this.

Chefs is our favorite non-Signature restaurant. We had another great meal there a little over a week ago.

This in one of my favorite places to eat. HOWEVER, in the 6 times we have been there the staff is uppity, acting as if they are somehow doing me a favor bringing me my $8.00 bowl of soup. The last time we were there the waiter somehow managed to flip my DD(11) dinner right on to the table splashing hot food eveywhere. We chose to laugh it off so as to not upset our DD however there was a brief apology and nothing. To be honest if nothing else I would of thought they would offer her a free des. The bottom line is the atmosphere is great, the food is very good and the staff is snobby at best. They speak to French to one another in front of the patrons. Aothough not fluent in French I speak enough to know when they are discussing guests in the rest. I also find it irritating that they all stand around the water stations while I am waiting for 20 minutes for a drind refill. The food keeps me coming back, certainly not the staff.

I ate at CdF in September and a Parisian friend of mine was with me. He said that the most authentically French aspect of the restaurant was the inattentive service. Being French, he had no qualms about calling the staff out on the quality of their food and service.

We love Chefs de France. We have never had a bad meal there. But my experience with WDW restaurants is that you are best to visit them yourself and form your own opinion. Other people's opinions vary so much that it is hard to make a decision based on them.

We loved it there... try it again if you want to.
