I have our days set for our October trip, but now I'm rethinking a couple of days. Currently I have us going to EPCOT on our arrival day (Saturday) to ride test track and eat at Garden Grill and going to Hollywood Studios on Monday. But now I'm thinking it might be nice to have 2 full days at EPCOT instead of a few hours one day and 1 full day. Of course that means only a few hours at HS and that will be the only day we will spend there.

We should arrive at the park between 3:30-4 and stay till 7:00. Based on what we want to see and do at each park, which should we visit on our arrival day?

EPCOT (we will have 2 days, I put an * by the things we want to on our arrival day)
*test track - with FP
Soarin'
*Mission Space - with FP
*spaceship earth - with FP
The seas with Nemo
turtle talk with Crush
figment
*innoventions - just to walk through, might or might not do anything will depend on wait times
figment
Character spot
Gran fiesta tour
The American Adventure
Walk around World Showcase
*Garden Grill at 5:40 (there is availability on Monday if I decide to switch days)

HS (we will only 1 day at HS)
TSM with FP
Star tours with FP (would like to ride twice if time allows)
Great movie ride
Animation academy
Muppet vision with FP (if needed)
Dinner will either be counter service or Whispering Canyon (we are staying at WL) after we leave the park.

Disney Hollywood can been done in half a day, especially if you aren't going to do the Aerosmith roller coaster or the Tower of terror. That's my 2 cents worth. Have fun.

Agree totally with previous poster. If you aren't interested in RnRC or ToT, then HS is great candidate for half day on arrival day. The later you stay at HS, the shorter the line will get for getting a second ride on Star Tours standby. Note that HS has morning EMH on Saturdays, but not sure how many of those 8am rope-droppers will still be there late in the day. Also note that's Epcot Food&Wine Festival, you can expect Epcot to be more crowded on a Saturday evening.

Definitely spend 2days at Epcot if you can. It doesn't look like you need much more for HS especially with FP for half the things you want to accomplish there. Have a great trip!

Another vote for HS on that Saturday. Epcot Saturday evening during (possibly) F&W and that's the perfect storm for no fun.

I talked to DD earlier today to make sure I had all the things she wanted to do at HS on our list. She told me she might want to do RR and wants to see Indiana Jones. I think I'll leave my plans the way I have them and go to HS on Monday. It will be easier to get everything accomplished in the morning since we can only get a FP for TSM or RR and will have to ride the other standby. We should be done early afternoon and then we can spend time at the pool or visit DTD.
