Hey everyone,
I was just looking online and found people selling premade pages. Does anyone buy them? I like creating my own pages, but sometimes my brain becomes mush and I don't know what to create. I want to do Chef Mickey's but found something really cute on Ebay. Plus it may be cheaper to just buy the premade pages and save a little time. My DD is 3 and consumes my time now so I have no time to do much of anything, plus she's all over my work. What should I do :)

If you have the money to buy them and absolutely love them I'd go for it! I've seen some amazing stuff on sale and for the prices can't justify it...I'd prefer to spend the money on a new cartridge for my cricut or a new combo die for my cuttlebug - provocraft has me suckered in for sure! But sure, I've been tempted too...

I would if I wasnt so cheap. I cant justify spending that much on a page knowing I could do it (:rotfl: like I have time to actually do it)

I know we all have mental blocks & sometimes cna't come up with any ideas, but i think it's all part of the fun of scrapbooking. I don't think i'd want to buy pre made pages. But then thats only my thought on this matter. :goodvibes

Why not check on the swap board? There's a swapping forward thread at the top, where poeple post things they can't use that they've got in swaps, and you can offer a one-to-one swap. Often store-bought items are acceptable, eg Jolees.

I am not sure I would buy it online, but there are so many companies that sell all the stuff for one or more pages that I would start there. I agree, sometimes my mind is blank and I get stuck. And because I am a "do it in chronological order" person, getting stuck means STUCK!

I have used that 40% coupon for these packets. When I feel blocked, I pull one out and just use it. I may add some embellishments to it, but I just DO IT.:goodvibes

Then I can move along.

I have before but always end up adding to them or 'dressing them up'. Premade pages often just don't fit my style or the colors won't go w/ my pics, etc. They are a good way to get over scrappers block and great for people who don't have time to scrap, but can get expensive.

I've done it once. Just before a LSS in my area went out of business, they had a Disney sample page displayed that I really liked. There were license plates on it, however, they were sold out of those in the store and that's really what I had wanted. So the gal working that day sold the page to me for $6. I took it home, trimmed it down to fit a CM page, re-arranged and added a few things, and it's now the first page in my '05 trip book.

Would I do it again? I don't know. I would say if it's not too expensive and it saves you lots of time, go for it.:)

I dont but I like making my own pages. If you see something you really like why not just scraplift it?

Michael's is carrying a pretty big line of pre-made pages and kits. some of those are precious. I like pre-made pages sometimes.
I bought an album at Target for our wedding pictures and and the pages were done, no embellishments, but the mats the ribbon etc was done. I just put the pics in and added a few embellishments here and there.

Another idea for layouts is magazine pages, not just scrap magazines either. DH was looking through a fishing mag the other day and saw the perfect layout so I have been flipping through my stash of mags to get inspiration.
