To buy an AP or not??

Thanks, this is exactly what I was talking about. I was just telling my pal that if I have an AP, I can pop into the MK in the morning, and head back to the resort because I know I'm coming back another day. I love the AP, this will be my 3rd time as an AP member, so I have done the parks 3 times in 12 months before, it's just been a while. The Perks are a definite plus. I am esp jazzed about the free Digital Pictures.

One of the questions that I had was in regards to the ADR. (or rather Lack there of), how hard is it for a single to get a seat at some of the Nicer Table service restaurants? I don't feel like Character Buffets are in order at all, I want to have a nice Sit down. BOG might be a good choice, but I'm really thinking more Dis Springs, or BW area. I'm not so concerned about what others think about me dining alone, I just feel uncomfortable. I really liked that aspect of the cruise. Dining with other single parents over 5 days we really got to know one another. Both were Single Moms recently divorced or separated so we had lots to talk about. This will be different in that I don't even have my kid with me. As for your comment "but there is so much to be said for solo travel. It's very nice to go at your own pace, do what you want when you want, change plans as you wish...without having any concern for what others want to do" I knew I was doing something wrong in my marriage..

I appreciate all the insight. I'm just trying to work out the details. I usually plan trips over a year out, so this Spur of the moment, off the Cuff type of trip is way out of my comfort zone. Still I'm almost committed to getting the pass and scrubbing the cruise.
Actually, I should mention that when you buy a pass online or by phone, what you will get is a hard plastic card that is not the active pass, but just a voucher. Once you have the voucher though, you can connect that to your MDE and make FastPass reservations, discounted hotel reservations, etc. You'll need to take the voucher with you and go to an actual Guest Services location in WDW and exchange the voucher for the actual pass and it will be activated once you enter a park for the first time. You'll have to return to the resort and show them the activated pass to confirm your resort discount.

2 weeks ago I got a day of reservation for 1 at Artist Point. Had my choice of a few times. And when I say day of I really mean like 4 hours before I wanted to go eat. Ha. I've done that many times in the last year for Brown Derby and a few others. I've been able to get California Grill, Le Cellier, Tiffins...all the week off or occasionally a day or 2 before. Not as often to get day of on those for me. But I've been going at busier times my last 2 trips.

Lol...yes if you were going with the do what you want when you want attitude while married I can see how that might not have gone over very well. Ha.

Being single is way underrated.

I couldn't agree more. I am really just beginning to live my Life as a single. Went on a Cruise in 2016, and now that I have a passport I'm ready to travel to other locals on the globe. I mean there is Disneyland Paris, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Shanghai. Can't wait till they build Disney New Zealand. (if I start that rumor, maybe Bob Iger will be listening), I'm not picky Iceland, or Australia would be good alternatives. You know anywhere a crazy movie may have been filmed.

Thanks, since I won't be using the annual pass until Friday, that might pose a problem. I'm coming on on Thursday, and picking up my AP as well as my discounted MNSSHP ticket. So I'm note quite sure how all that will work. Also my AP won't be purchased until I land in FL. So no voucher till I buy the AP. Less than 2 weeks. eeek,

While my US travels have been extensive, my global travels have not been. Mexico and Panama are the only countries on that list. I hope one day to be able to add more to that one. If only money really did grow on trees.

Shortly after shanghai opened there was a light rumor that the guy basically bashing it (biggest competitor in china) wanted to make a disney park in australia. Who knows what might happen here.

If Only. lol! Can't wait for the trip. Just over 9 days now. Eeek!!!

If I had to pick the next logical choice would be Australia. I look forward to anything that Disney can do. Who knew that an animation company would be so great at travel? I took a cruise (disney Magic) last year and the only place that fell short for me where the aspects not run by Disney. The biggest disappointment was the Photo Service. I'm so used to Disney Photopass, and expected it to be a similar experience. Not even close.

Ok, Thanks for the Help Ticket has been purchased, but can't pick it up till Thursday. Cruise cancelled :( \

Less than a week now. So there is no going back. At this point I'm committed to WDW for the next 12 months. Wee!!!!!!!!!
