I'm not sure which hotels will allow you to park a car while you're gone, but probably the best choices are the ones closest to the airport. There's a Holiday Inn and a Park Plaza on Genesee (same street as the airport). In the phone book the Holiday states they have a free airport shuttle. If those don't work out another close area you may want to look at is Transit Road. Let me know if you need any more information.

Actually it's "shuffle off to Buffalo" ... but I guess in the winter we do a lot of shuffling on the ice (which explains why I prefer Florida in the winter!).

I stand corrected. Shuffle off to Buffalo would only apply to the return leg of your trip then.

Sorry this is a bit long...Last March we shuttled out from Buffalo for our first ever trip to WDW. We stayed at the Airport Holiday Inn Express in Buffalo the night before. I don't think it is possible to get a hotel closer to the airport - it is directly across from it just off Genesee. They had a park and fly rate that we got through expedia (we're from Canada, so I used expedia.ca, but I'm sure expedia.com would work also). I think they allowed parking for up to 10 days. I did not see the rate offered through the holiday inn website. I suppose that if you called them directly they would also quote you the park and fly rate. I am not sure which would be the better deal. It is not clear just how much security they devote to their long term parking lot, but our car was parked right next to the hotel, so we were OK with it.
The hotel itself is very new and the room we had was an executive suite. It had a small fridge and microwave - but it only had one king size bed so it would not do for your party. They do have breakfast included, but we left for the airport at around 4 am so we did not really care about breakfast at that point. The shuttle to and from the airport was fine. We called down about 15 min before we left and called them from the airport when we returned and they picked us up really quickly. The drivers were very courteous - even at 4 am. The drive to the airport is not even five minutes. The only bad part was that there was a major snowstorm in Buffalo while we were away and the area where our car was parked was not plowed, so it was quite an adventure to get our car out. There was a large snowpile we had to drive through (and thankfully we did not get stuck) to get out of the lot.
We returned from our first trip to SSR (we bought DVC in March) Oct 6th. We had a fabulous time. It was just after the hurricanes, so the parks were quiet, and we had fantastic weather. We really enjoyed the main pool, the view of Downtown Disney and the room itself (we started in a studio, then moved to a 1BR - but that's another story). I think you should request a room in a building that is closer to Downtown (also ask for pool view and downtown disney view). That way you will be close to the quiet pool, Downtown Disney (and all the buses that leave from there), plus you can hop on any bus to take you to the main pool from the bus stop in Congress Park. I hope you have a great time too!:earsboy:

Best thing to do is look up local hotels at Buf airport, Park Plaza is one of them I know there are a few hotels that have the park and fly, and all have a shuttle. I am not sure which ones because I always drive right to airport and leave car there. I do know the rates at hotels across from airport are cheaper than parking rates at airport. Does not help you much but thats all I know.

Park Plaza became a dumpy hotel and has finally been closed. The property has been purchased and will become a brand new hotel as they will knock down the old one.
We have stayed at the Comfort Suites and they offer the free parking for two weeks, free breakfast, free shuttle, great rooms and service. There is also a new Holiday Inn Express that I have heard good things about. The Quality Inn is OK, but an older hotel. Good Luck - check choice hotels website for internet only rates for the Comfort Suites.

i ended up with holiday inn express airport:junior suite-king bed & pull out queen sofa bed plus fridge, sink, micro.sofa and bed are in seperate sections of suite.not quite sep rooms but they are seperated.oh and park and fly for 12 days for 114$
