Just wanted to say a BIG CONGRATULATIONS to all Saint Vincent College (PA) grads who graduated today with President Bush as your commencement speaker. Today was probably the most memorable day in my life, other than when my kids were born. Everything was just beautifully done at your school, everyone welcomed our President with open arms, cheers and applause with the respect that he deserves. You all looked so great and i'm very proud of all of you.
My son was among the graduates and it was just an overwhelming moment to see him walking in the processional, then see the president's helicopter landing on the monitor and then to hear and see him speak to you. You have such a beautiful campus and it was all done with such class.
Way to go to President Towey for putting on an awesome show today. :thumbsup2

Good Luck in all you do and Best Wishes for your future!

Not a Saint Vincent College student, but congratulations to them and all of the seniors graduating this weekend as I know there are many schools in Canada and the United States holding ceremonies this weekend! :)

Congratulations to all! We happened to see President Bush's address last night on CSpan. We first saw the college president speak and then President Bush. I wanted to see it because I had found St. Vincent when we were looking for a college for DS. It looked like a wonderful school from the website. We were still considering it as late as last winter (DS is a senior this year), but he didn't want to travel that far for school - it would be about 5-6 hours for us.

It is a beautiful school and campus. You are treated like family there, everyone knows everyone. My son turned down the US Air Force Academy to go there! I can understand the problem with living so far away.My son's first year was spent at Valley Forge Military Academy and that was a 5 hr drive for us. We are about an hour away from SVC. We always thought the President spoke at military academies and figured we lost our chance to ever see him in person. Who would have ever thought he'd be at Saint Vincent, a small but beautiful little school tucked away in the mountains of SW PA! i think i'm STILL on :cloud9:

Congrats to your son, Donna as well as all the graduates. What a great ceremony to have the President; that's something those kids will never forget! You're right, St. Vincent's is a beautiful campus. My sister went there and of course we spent our youth going to the Steelers' training sessions. I still have the autographs from the Golden Years players!

Wow! Congrats to you too! Have a wonderful graduation trip at Disney!
