to add on or not

We really want to go back this Fall--mission space Mickey's Phil. etc. opening. The problem is that we have already used all our pionts this year. (Started with new years, then spring break and the first part of June) We would be fine, if we hadn't started taking friends with us. The difference between a one and two bedroom has really costs us! Points from Disney are expensive (and we already added on at Beach Club). If we went and stayed in a hotel--it would cost us about $900. Re-sales are not that chip if you use magical beginnings. Any ideas. I thought we had enough points already!

Have you borrowed next year's points? We are in a constant state of borrowing...anywhere from a few points to all of the next year's stock. It ebbs and flows and so far we haven't needed more than what we have available to borrow.

Just another option.

Your options:

1) Borrow from next year. This means sometime in the future you will need to use fewer points. It may mean smaller units, staying at OKW, fewer days, paying cash, or renting points

2) Rent points to cover your trip this year.

3) Get a cash ressie, maybe at a regular Disney resort for your fall trip.

4) Skip this trip. Want is nice. Need is a different thing. Mission Space will be there next Spring.

5) Add on.

I'd add on as a last resort. Points are (as you pointed out) expensive and they have additional future costs costs (like you need to use them, not to mention the maintenance. Unless you see inviting friends to be a pattern you continually repeat and have discovered you underbought.
