To Activate or Not To Activate...That Is the Question?

I've been a blue card dvc member for years. I recently bought a contract through the resale market and Disney sent me my Vacation Club I.D. number and an activation code for activating my white card membership online. Should I? Will activating my new white card membership impact my blue card membership?

No, activating your white card membership won’t do anything to your blue card. And I thought the activation code was for setting up your access to the member website. Is your resale contract a different UY and/or titled differently, making it a separate membership? Even if so, you should have only one logon to the member website, where you then choose which membership you want to deal with at that time.

Before you use the activation code (you might not need it), try linking your new membership number to your existing login. If that's successful, my advice is to just ignore the new activation code. You have a blue card. You don't need the white card., and you only need (actually want) one login to the member website.

Just an update. I had to call member services because neither my Club ID/Activation Code nor my wife's worked. We kept getting the "something went wrong...try again later" page. I was on the phone with member services for nearly an hour, but in the end my our memberships were activated. Now I can see both my blue card and my white card on the website!

I have 3 different membership numbers and only activated my original direct purchase, DVC loaded my 2 resale memberships onto my account.
