I have an appointment to take my cat to the vet on Monday for this problem, but I was wondering if I should take her to the emergency care,.

My Cat has what looks to be a hemroid around her butt. (sorry, I don't know how else to put it) ... It is just a little pink bump and she isn't in any pain. Well visible pain at least. She is acting fine. Has anyone ever dealt with anything like this? Any advice would be great. :paw:

Sounds like a prolapsed rectum. My brother's cat was a stray that had this and we had it fixed and brought her in. It started out looking like a little red ring, like you said a hemroid. Then it got worse pretty quick. It looked like a 'red tube' came out of her butt. It was at that time we were able to catch her (she was wild) and take her in to the vet. He sedated her and then pushed the rectum back in. He put a little X stitch to hold it in because it was so far out and inflamed. She had to be on a soft food diet for a while (so her feces could get out without busting the stitches and/or pushing her rectum out again). He said it was caused from a bacterial infection giving her diareha (sp?) and her straining to go so much. Has you cat had any bowel problems lately?

Once he took the stitches out, she was fine. She is several years old and has never had another problem with it.

If it gets any worse, I would take her to an emergency vet hospital.

Good luck!

She doesn't have any weird symptoms, she is acting fine. I just don't like the way it looks, and if other people have any other input that would be great!

I can't believe I'm reading this. Just last night, I noticed the exact same thing on my dog!

I guess a trip to the vet is in order.

Good luck with your kitty. :sunny:

Is it more like a bump? Sometimes they get growths on their bodies, just like we can. If he is feeling okay, going to the bathroom okay I would wait and see your vet this week.
If anything changes then go to the emergency room. Those emergency room visits really put a hole in the wallet.

My dog had something like you describe. It was an impacted anal gland.
It was lanced and all was well, although he would get a reoccurance every couple years.
